What do you do on a cold and rainy day

It is cold and rainy today. My husband had plans to go Christmas shopping today. I am not much for the cold weather, especially when it rains. I much prefer the summer. So, I want to stay inside, under the covers, and cruise the internet. What do you prefer to do when it is cold and rainy outside. Do you like to go out and enjoy the fresh air or do you prefer to stay home inside where it is warm?

The rain, I don't mind so much. But when you mix the cold and the rain, I don't want to do anything at all. And a lot of times my bones and muscles ache. So I like you, don't get out and do much at all.
I am staying in a building now, instead of just my own home. So, if I can come up with the energy, I will go out and walk the halls so that I at least get some exercise. It takes me about 5 minutes per floor. So it doesn't get too mundane if I just walk for 30 minutes or so. And then I feel like I have done something. :)
Thanks for starting this discussion, and have a wonderful day!

Yeah, when you don't feel well on top of the cold and rain, it can be really difficult to get up and go outside. I admire you for thinking about getting up and going out for some exercise. I think that is a tremendous effort especially when you don't feel well. You have a great day too.

You are so right. Cats do not like getting wet. I feel sorry for the cats I feed that live outside. I wish I could bring them all to my house and keep them inside and warm. Yes, also, it seems that the cold weather brings out the joint pains too. I don't mind mild weather but I don't like cold. I don't like real hot either. To me about 75 degrees is the absolute ideal temperature. No snow. No rain. Merry Christmas!

I would love to stay indoors and under the sheets on a cold rainy day :) It would be perfect if there was a nice movie on the TV, warm sheets in bed and a cup of warm chocolate! Unfortunately, I am working most of the time so my cold rainy days are spent in the living room either drawing or making lay outs on the computer! Enjoy your shopping :)

Just like you on a cold and rainy day I prefer to stay inside to watch a good film with my husband and children or surf the internet. I also prefer summer because although it will be very hot, the days are brighter.Winter sometimes makes me feel depressed and lonely especially if it is a rainy day!

Hey, that's where I should move to (ha,ha) the Caribbean. I very much like the warmer weather and I think I would like it there. It is nice that you have visited the US. You must have been visiting on the East side of the country. Here in the West, we have milder temperatures, although some of the higher altitudes do get snow. Enjoy your nice weather.

Cold, cloudy and rainy days makes me want to sleep. I don't always give in to the temptation but I'm so tired and bla like all day long. I'll try to read a good book or work on a puzzle or do some cross stitching. Or I might even find something that needs doing and do it which makes me feel really good once I'm finished.

I'm not much on getting out on cold/rainy days. I like to stay in and catch up on some reading or if I'm feeling energetic enough I'll catch up on som major cleaning.
If I was going to get out and shop I would opt for the mall. At least you wouldn't be in and out of the rain so much

What a beautiful pup in your avitar! I am with you. I really don't want to go out if it is raining. I feel sorry for people who have to deal with the snow; that is even worse. It is lovely to look at but too cold for me. The mall would be nice if I had $$$$ but alas this economy has really put a damper on my Christmas spending. My husband did end up going out. His mother agreed to go out with him, which is fine with me!
