If you have things that need to be returned or exchanged that you got for Christmas do you go to the store the day after Christmas and exchange or return it? I made that mistake one year and I will never do it again. The lines are so long and the return counter that you stand there for hours. And people are going crazy everywhere. It is like black friday all over again or worse. I normally wait about a week until things have calmed down before trying to return or exchange things. I try to avoid stores altogether the days after Christmas unless it is an emergency.

Someimtes I will return it. I do hate the long lines, but it seems the stores here seem pretty quick lately in getting people taken care of and on their way. Sometimes if the item isnt defective, just something I didnt like I will just tuck it away and give it to someone who might enjoy it more than I did.

I'm like you. I made the mistake of exchanging a gift once on the day after Christmas and it was unbelievable the amount of people that were in line. I think I must have stood there for at least an hour. The people in the store were nuts. I will never do that again. And like you, I avoid the stores all together right after Christmas. I won't make that mistake again, lol.

I very seldom return things but like you I would wait. I am however going shopping on Friday morning to see if I can get a few things more for next year....like kitchen towels etc that I can use as gifts.
