Are they still behaving?

I think my kids have been over stimulated these past few days. They've been so tired and miserable, and of course that leads to crankiness and misbehaving.
I'm rather tired myself, not having been able to get enough sleep over Christmas, so that means I don't handle their crankiness as well as I ought to.
My toddler, who's usually the sweetest, most well behaved child of the bunch, has been doing nothing but throwing temper tantrums. Full fledged tantrums, and that's not like him at all. Before now he's only ever really thrown one temper tantrum, and I put a stop to it quickly by placing him in time out and telling him "NO!" very sternly. It did the trick and he hasn't tried it since until recently.
Looks like it will be a very early bed time for all the kids.
How have yours been behaving? Are they over stimulated? Are they acting out, or just plain cranky from exhaustion?

My kids are mostly behaving. My daughter has been having a few little melt downs from being over stimulated and overtired. She has been really good today so far though. My son has disappeared into his room playing with his new toys and watching his new DVD's. I have only seen him for about 5 minutes all day today.

I've had to send the 3 middle kids up for a nap today due to their behavior. Then I had to call hubby at work because the oldest has been being so lazy lately. I'm so stressed out right now because of them it's not even funny.

My oldest has been irritating on his time off from school. Always wanting to stay up really late. Not doing his chores. just being lazy. He gets an attitude when you tell him to do something. I think his mood is more than the holidays, he is eleven. My daughter has been wired, but she hasn't been that bad. she is nine. My three year old has been the crankiest. He too has been throwing fits. He wants to stay up with his brother, but I won't let him. He has been wanting to play with his toys and not do anything else. he has definately been overstimulated, which has made him extra cranky.

My oldest is also 11, although he doesn't have the attitude problem. He is lazy and forgetting his chores, but that's typical of him. I lecture him on a daily basis about it, but he doesn't change.

Over stimulated is the term I think of. I have a 14 year old. She had 4 Christmas's in 20 hours. The result was painful for me. I sent her to Grandmas!

My daughter has had her I am tired and cranky moments. But for the most part she is behaving surprisingly well. She is even being still right now. But she is watching Kung Fu Panda. That may have something to do with it!

My kids have not been too bad really, my daughter who will be three tomorrow has actually been going to bed earlier since xmas day so it must be too much for her to handle! Goodness knows what she will be like in the morning when she sees all her pressies for her birthday, then we are making a birthday cake for her and taking her shopping and mcdonalds she will be in bed by 7pm tomorrow night I reckon! My boys are still up, it is 11pm here and they are still going, but we dont have to get up early tomorrow so I dont mind because they will sleep in but they have all been really pleasant so its great for a change!!

7pm is a typical bed time for my kids. I rarely let them stay up late, even if we don't have to get up early. I'm worn out by the time dinner rolls around, so I need them in bed so I can start to unwind and relax. 9pm is about the latest I let them stay up, unless we're watching a movie or something as a family.

Mine were a bit too much on Christmas day itself, but they've not been bad over this holiday period. In fact, I'm pretty proud of the way they've been behaving. They've been playing together well and if it wasn't for the noise and the fact that they insist on playing fighting games in my bed I could almost ignore them and get on with something useful ;-)

Ours has been so-so. The youngest hasn't been feeling totally good and I think that was from all the running around she did with her mom. Ours is a little cranky but not bad, the worst thing I can say is that she just does not want to go to bed at her normal time the last few nights! I'm so ready to relax and she is still up and running! lol
