Brain Farts!

You ever have one of those moments where your brain just... Breaks? Where you're unable to coherently string together a proper thought, then in an hour you realise how dumb you were being at the time? Amuse us with tales of your temporary stupidity! I had a real bad brain fart today, I was looking to replace the stereo to RCA cable I had been borrowing from a friend. I had been using said cable to connect the stereo connector on my media center to the RCA connectors on my TV, and I thought I'd buy my own cable and give the cable back to said friend. I hadn't found any of the cables that he had, but I did find an adaptor that would allow me to adapt a two male RCA plugs to the regular stereo plug used on my computer. After I bought it, I then, for some reason, thought "wait, won't this mean I'll need to climb behind my case, unplug my headphones then plug in the RCA adaptor everytime I want to want to use my TV? Man, that will be a pain in the butt, why don't I need to do this with Tom's cable? It should be basically the same as what I'm planning except mine consists of two pieces instead of one..." Then when I got home I remembered one vital detail: I had built an entirely separate machine so I didn't have to deal with the annoyance of unplugging and plugging in cables from my main PC. I was able to redeem myself later when it came time to plug everything in though. The adapter wasn't color coded for the left and right channel, so I could quite easily accidentally get them crossed, I plugged the RCA cables in anyway, and lo and behold I had managed to get the channels correct. And typing this post just now, I had another brain fart. After typing everything up, I began to proof-read it, and noticed it was riddled with even more poor grammar and spelling than usual. I had also managed to jumble the order of the letters in a few words, leave words out entirely and even spell a few words backwards. Ah... this just isn't my day.

Yeah...I feel the same way too. I tend to do reports every week, and it's getting routinary. At times, the work itself is habitual, that my brain could not function as critical and analytical as it should be. Sometimes, I just catch myself staring blankly at the monitor for as long as I can remember without ever thinking of anything about the reports, and deadlines, and what-have-you's. It's a good thing I have mylot to still keep me sane, though. Happy mylotting!
