Do you pick your nose in public?

Do you? When your nose itches, do you just stick your finger in there and soothe the itch? I only do so in the comfort of my own home. And of course i don't really mind if my parents see me in my ugliest bad habit. I just don't understand how some people find it alright to do so in public. Especially on the train when everybody is facing each other. I once met a man sitting opposite me. He is rather elderly and was picking his nose. When he took out his finger, there was his 'gold" and he started playing with it. After getting somewhat bored playing, he flicked it away and towards my direction. Thankfully, it didn't touch me. But the ordeal was horrible and disgusting. Now do you dig your nose in the public or privately? Would you dig your nose in front of your spouse or lover?
