When I watched about 1/3 of this cartoon, I didn't understand. And there is no more dialogue in this movie already. This is strange. But at last I understood that the theme of this movie. It reminds us that we should protect our planet. It is a deep thought.

I have not been able to sit through the whole movie yet (my son got it for Christmas), but the parts I have seen are not really appealing to me.

I tried but I could not watch the whole movie. I understand the theme that we need to keep the planet clean but it was a very bad way to do it. Maybe the ending was good but I could not make it that far. Thanks Zelo

The major problem I had with the movie is there was very little dialogue... which I guess for people who don't speak English that is very good but is was very boring to hear beeps and blips all through the movie.... I will have to rent it again and try to watch the whole thing so I know the ending! Thanks Zelo

I love Wall-E, and I think that the Buy n Large (isn't that the store in the movie?) is an awful lot like what my husband calls "The Evil W." Hate that store, and hate the whole mentality behind it. I think that Wall-E is a wonderful movie and I hope that it wins many awards. I suspect I'll have to buy it on DVD so I can watch it some more!

Wall-E has some deep thoughts, and its visual effect is also very fabulous.

A film that delivers an underlying message is great not just for the children but also for the adults, who probably understand what message is being sent out more than the children! I haven't seen this film to be honest, and it's not the sort of film that would interest me but I like the message it is sending out, protecting our planet although I rather think it's like bolting the stable door after the horse has bolted but that's just the cynical side of me!

Wall-E - A very nice animation cartoon about a robot left on earth to remove and dispose of rubbish created by man.
I find the movie pretty easy to digest. It is very nice to watch. I especially like the Wall-E robot. So cute! And with only two eyes, the animators can do such a good job of giving him expressions that we can actually feel!I love this cartoon a lot. I am still contemplating on whether to get this to keep for my DVD collection.

ha ha ha ha ha... watch it a few more times loh! Then you will be able to understand it more. If only the DVD is not so expensive. Otherwise, I would definitely go get a copy. Maybe when I come back from my trip, I will see if I can get a copy to watch from the rental store.

youless, The film also tells us that true and sincere friendship knows no boundaries. It is indeed true to the words - love conquers all. Cheers.

Hello youless. It is sometimes not easy for the audience to figure out the theme of the movie until you go on watching it till almost the middle part of the movie. It is good that you have finally figured out that the movie is one reminding people of the protection of the planet. Happy watching movies, youless. I seldom watch movies in my spare time unless it is during the vacation.

Wall-e was the first movie I watched in a cinema since moving to the UK a year ago. I really enjoyed it. Some people see another angle to the film. The humans are living on a planet which is controlled by a single authority. The film Wall-e insinuates to the audience that people in some countries are cheated by their governments and are encouraged to protest and fight for their rights. Consequently in some countries Wall-e is banned to show in public. I did not get this impression from the movie. Did you?

I am so surprised to hear that Wall-E was banned to show in public in some countries. I don't understand because it has a good theme.

I am reading the responses and your interpretation. I disagree. Even the movie makes it painfully clear that it's NOT ENVIRONMENTAL! If it did, then it would not be empathizing the romance between a static character and a dynamic character. The movie is about RELATIONSHIPS. Technology is a factor that could prevent relationships if abused. Although, the movies empathizes on selfless reponsibility, the environmental issue is actually a BACKGROUND in order to make the love story possible. Director Andrew Stanton says in the commentary that "it's something I should feel noble about, but that is not my intention." On the WALL-E forum, I know this wonderful 60-year old sage, a CEO of a company, deeply involved in politics, who understood the relationship story and rebuked the environmental interpretations. And it's incredibly shallow to stop watching just because the director chose the technique if unconventional dialogue to SHOW, NOT TELL. "I WUV YOU!" "KISS ME" Yes, we should protect the planet, but that was not what WALL-E convey. Look at each other, connect by holding hands, take reponsibility and act, love is our true directive.
