I have bought a wig. It was to go with my Halloween costume. It was a purple color. And I wore it 2 years in a row. I have never bought a wig to wear as my actual hair.

hey friend... There has been two occasions with me. First one was when i was in school. I bought one as i was participating in a fancy dress competition. The second one was just two months earlier. I bought one before going to a near by stadium to watch an international cricket match. It had the colour alike to my national flag. Also it gave a good protection from the blazing sun in the stadium gallery. thank u & happy mylotting.

Surprisingly I know alot about this. My parents used to own a custom wig store in NY City back in the late 1970's during the disco era. They catered services mainly to the modeling industry. Quality hair piece enhancements have not changed all that much. If are going to spend $200 or more on a wig make sure is made from human donated hair or horse hair. Those are the top of the line ones. The reason why is because of durability & matainence. With human hair or horse hair all you have to do to clean them is use simple shampoo & conditioner in a sink. Or in this day & age you can go to the store, purchase a Dryel brand washing machine dry cleaning bag. Well thats if you do not want to have to sit there with a blowdrier & dry the hair. When you use the Dryel method you would want to self dry clean in the dryer on the lowest tumble setting & then hang dry inside. Also the real hair wigs as so durable my parents still have some from the 1970's that where rented by celebrities they liked of that time period & they look brand new. When you purchase a designer wig you would also want to store it in a wig box. Not a regular box. As with the premium wigs you would have it fitted to your head & you want it to retain that fit. You would need one of these. Check out ebay.com Item number: 390012256522 Its not item but it is great example of a nice vintage piece. Inside the wig box should be a faux head where you would place your wig when you are not using it. But you would have find a compariable manquine head to yours. Or have one made for you. The best is if you can get a metal head. The reason why is the typical & cheap plastic or foam heads are known to expand in different temperatures. Which in turn will ruin your fit. If you like it get it! Make sure you are buying quality though. I hope this helps you out.
