How many of you still find your self coloring some days? I think at least once a month I will sit down with my kids and color in a coloring book with them. It has been more times recently considering they just all got new coloring books and crayons for Christmas. I enjoy coloring sometimes.
Do you enjoy it? Do you still grab a book an color every once in a while? Im interested please share.

I color my own comics in Photoshop. I don't really like coloring with crayons because I have tendency to cake it on. I have never been as good at coloring as I have been at drawing. That is why I like Photoshop. I can make a mistake and easily clean it up.

Hello messageme. Yes, I enjoy coloring a coloring book. I find it relaxing. I got inspired when my mom started coloring. I told myself "why not". So, I started coloring my brother's old coloring books. I enjoyed it a lot. Then I started buying coloring books. Its fun. Coloring isnt for kids only. Adults can also enjoy coloring.

I enjoy it, but I haven't colored anything in a long time, I don't have any kids, so I don't have any kind of coloring books around, but I may get some just for myself...haha.

And there is nothing wrong with that. I encourage you to go out and get some books and crayons, something to do if your just sitting at home one day being bored.

I have not colored in awhile but I will once in a blue moon. I will confess to writing though. I love to write it has become a passion so to speak. My girls love to draw too! I cannot seem to get them to keep track of those crayons though. Nice discussion and happy mylotting to you.

Thanks for responding! My kids can keep track of their crayons, but they have a big problem of not breaking all of them!

I color with my grandsons all the time...All their pictures are displayed on my walls..I have 4 dinosaur coloring pictures taped on my computer desk...
They love to draw also....and their artwork is on the walls too!
My 4 year old grandson asked me today, "Why do you color so neat?"
We have coloring books all over the place...

lol
My kids use to ask me that too. I told them it takes practice and the more they color the better they get at staying in the lines. They have improved so much. It is neat looking at their pictures they colored a year ago compared to the ones now. I just run out of places to hang them all!
thanks for sharing!

I still color with my kids sometimes. More lately since my youngest has gotten into coloring. She got 3 different things of crayons, a few coloring books, drawing pads, and 1000 sheets of printer paper from her dad for Christmas, so she has been wanting to color all day everyday since Christmas.

That is good! I think it teaches kids too. patience, attention to detail. And it is a very relaxing activity too.

Hi. messageme. I do find myself coloring with my kids during homework time. And also when they are just coloring for fun during a leisure activity. I do enjoy coloring.
I don't color in coloring books that often, but I do color with my kids, I think that it is so much of fun.

Hi Messageme, I agree that it's real fun! I don't have any kids, but my sis has three, from 3-9 years old. The two younger ones love to color, and often bring their colors and books, and ask me to color with them. It reminds me of my younger days, when we only had 10 or 12 colors - not like now, there are so many different colors and shades! It's really enjoyable!

Yes it is. I don't remember having that many colors either. Lots of pictures all looked the same because you had only certain colors to choose from, now there are colors I have never even heard of!

Why should coloring be just for kids!
My oldest grandkid is four and we have a lot of fun together. She colors one side of the book while I color on the other, or sometimes we collaborate and color the same picture together.
It's quality time.
My sister is really into it and very good at it. She colors these really intricate and difficult pictures that take hours to complete. She's really good at it too.
It's relaxing, creative and just plain fun.

I think it is very relaxing too.
I usually do the same thing with my kids, I will color on one side and they will the other and sometimes just the same pic. Just as you had said.
Thanks for sharing!
