Affirmative Prayer.

Many people think of prayer as petitions to a higher power or as Thanksgiving after a prayer has been answered. Others think of praise as the highest form of prayer. While some people make prayer an important part of their daily life, thousands of others turn to it in times of emergency. My personal idea is that gratitude is the attitude that can change everything and to give thanks in advance helps create the answer. "Before you call I will answer" is something that we can all think about. Affirmative prayer is to accept that the answer is already in place. All responses will be treated with respect. Blessings.

All prayers are a form of affirmation. In ancient days if elders told us that there is tremendrous power in the subconsiuos mind, no one would have taken them seriously.( remember, what they did to socrates???). irrespective to ones belief in existense og GOD,it will do good to pray because of the affirmative nature of most prayers.

I do not believe in prayer. I believe in meditation, but not prayer. People should be responsible for their lives and their situations. Quit using a higher power as a scapegoat for your own issues. Ever since I have been taking responsibility for my own life, I have accomplished a lot, I do not blame a higher power for anything, or thank a higher power for anything. You can pray all you want, but what do you really get out of that prayer? Wouldn't you feel better doing something rather than praying about doing something?

Hi rogue, Thank you for that response. We are all different and I'm a big believer in meditation as well as affirmative prayer. I do not blame a higher power for anything either but affirmative prayer, like positive thinking, can be very helpful. Check out Silent Unity. Blessings.

I don't want to adopt the holier than thou attitude. I do try to thank god for giving me another day, giving me health. I am not the one who prays continously but I do pray for my relatives and friend's needs.

Hi Pose123! Prayers are very important daily part of my life. It is in prayers that I find security and peace in my heart. It is in prayers that I find my connection with the Lord. I do pray a lot but I don't recite long prayers since I really get sleepy when I do. I just pray what is inside my heart and mind at the moment. I used to ask so many things for myself when I pray before and I do complain a lot in my prayers when I was younger. Now, that I am older I just give thanks, ask forgiveness, tell Him what happened to me the whole day and just ask Him to never abandon me, my family, all of my friends. I also pray for a lot of people and sometimes I really don't personally know them. I am not really a good person with a pure heart that is why I also pray that God will teach me how to be good and obedient to Him. You see, sometimes I think I am being good already but sometimes, I get a little wicked especially in my thoughts. haha..That is one of the many things I hope and pray to have---to have pure thoughts somehow. Take care always.. lovelots..faith210

I agree with you. Prayer is a form of communication with GOD. It is an exercise of faith and hope. But people are thinking about GOD when he/she needs something. They pray because they believe that God hears them and they desire to see the results. But sometimes they felt disappointed by not getting the results. I think if one person believes in GOD, he/she should spend sometime for praying. But if we can do mercy to poor, can helping the needier it will be the great way to reach GOD.

I believe in any type of prayer, I do pray constantly but not to the point of being overly zealous.. I do understand that I can not make it through the day without some interaction with Jesus Christ.. I do know that I have to depend on him for everything and I am thankful and greatful for having him in my life.. So I do pray to request help, to help me make it through the day and to thank him for helping me and for being with me.. I have also prayed many times in advance for something and he always comes through, no always in the way that I had in mind but he always answers..

I certainly agree that we must have faith that the answer to our prayer is already there before we pray and the we must apprehend it by faith. We need to believe and then receive all that God has for us. He is so amazing in my life.

I also believe that sometimes what we want is not was is good for us ,and later on in life we understand that our prayers were answered ,but in a different and better way.

hello Pose123, Everyone of us has his/her own reason why prayers are important and what it makes to our life. For me, a day without praying is not complete. Seems like something is lacking if I will not pray. It's a routine that need to be done no matter what. For all the blessings and guidance that HE is giving to us is much appreciated and for that I'm so thankful. Giving us life and having HIM is more than to be thankful.

In our prayers, first and foremost thing we are supposed to say is "Blessings for all". The main reason behind it is that nobody should be unhappy in this world. Everyone prays for his own benefit, but if we ask for Blessings for all, we are also included in it. If we see people around us are happy, we also feel happy. Almighty, sooner or later gives us everything we desire.
