I don't think eating pizza and a broken tooth mix well together do you?? I sure don't, well that's what happened to me last night, Yep had a tooth break off while eating and guess where its at?? Well right in front of course?? damn it all anyway!!!! Yep I have a nice broken, slice/chunk whatever right on a front tooth, Yipppee Kay aie cow freaking paddy!! Gosh and this is only the second day into the New Year well now its morning but you get my meaning, kinda scary, No check last night, then broke a tooth, what's next? or dare I ask? So how's your New Year going?? Mine's not going so great so far...should've stayed in bed I guess?? UGH!!!!! Now I need to find a Dentist again, the one I used to go too does not take those of us on Medicare or medicaid, Not sure what the "new people" in my states government will be doing change wise on our Medicaid, it would be nice if they included DENTAL for us again like they did 4-5 years ago?? But I doubt that happens!! !@@##$%$$#@@!!!!!!!

That sucks to say the least. I have had a couple of teeth break in the back before and I have pulled filling right out munching on things like toffee. It really sucks that yours was right in the front. Most embarrassing I'd say. I have a friend that plays guitar with me and she came to a jam one night and tooth was missing right at the edge of her smile so she looked like a country bumpkin or something. I hope that the rest of the year will only have good things for you and yours.

Hi WEbmann: That's my fear right now, I'm a from the Country, but I don't want to Look like a country bumpkin ( teeth wise) the rest of me I could care less LOL! You know I wear comfy clothes, most of my family are just plain country folks anyway but I sure don't want to look like a lot of them, being "toothless"...OMG!!! I may have to stay inside if that happens... One of my Aunts has a set of dentures, she rarely wears them and her dog is always finding them in her purse and running off with them...ROTFL!!! I'd give anything to see this happen!!! ha!

Sorry that this happened to you Jan. I know it will be a challenge to try to find affordable cosmetic dentistry to try and have this fixed . Usually the state DHS office can give you a list of referrals for cheap and affordable dentistry in your city since your insurance will not cover it.It's so strange that you lost a tooth while eating pizza, you'd think this would of happened more if you were eating some harder types of foods, like rock candy

HI Cassandralynn; How are you doing?? the tooth had a dark spot on it for the last several months so I knew it was dying it was only a matter of "when" it was going to break off, I have that a lot in my mouth I'm on so much medication and my body just does freaky things with it all; My teeth started falling out and breaking right after my car accident in 1996; and its been downhill ever since; The last time I tried to talk to my Local DHS office they just didn't have any list or idea of "who" to contact ...can you believe that? they are so NOT helpful!!! But I will have to start searching for someone somewhere as this is going to drive me crazy, with it being right up front; yeah it just broke right off while I was eating pizza, and I'm here to tell ya, you know immediately when you are biting down on a tooth, there is this hideous sound/noise it makes, like chalk on a chalkboard LOL!!

What I've done in the past is called up Medicare or Medicaid and asked them to mail me a list of dentists that take patience with that type of insurance. That has worked for me. Of course, by now you've probably figured it out! LOL! I really hope you get that tooth fixed soon. What a place to break a tooth! Poor baby........ I'm sending lots of hugs your way, sweetie and Mija is sending lots of purrs your way too........ I'm going to start praying for you that things start looking up and go your way. Thank goodness!! Be careful not to file too much of your tooth. They will need as much tooth to work with in order to put a crown on it. I'm so glad you were able to find a dentist and I hope that even though you're not familiar with the # it's still close enough to where you are. Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Mine is going okay, and I am sorry about yours. I do not have any insurance, and have been paying on some major dental work for over six months, but my dentist has always been willing to take payments from me, as has my optometrist. I just do not go unless I know that I have some prayer of paying even in small payments.

Hi ya Gerty: Wow you are lucky then to have those great people in your area; about the only place I have set up for payments is my local veterinarian, maybe she would pull my tooth LOL! Hey ya never know right? I could go in there and pretend to be a big Wolfhound or a Saint Bernard or something LOL!! Oh boy!!!

OMG, this happened to my mom before and it was actually funny! A part of her front tooth chipped because she was biting into a piece of chocolate that came straight from the fridge. And it's just funny because my mom loves her chocolates. She's super addicted and sometimes things happen to her, like her tooth chipping. :) I hope you're okay though.

HI Mimico: yeah I'm a chocoholic too and I'm sure I've had enough toffee, carmels and tons of other things in my lifetime to wear down my teeth..LOL! But mine happened while eating pizza, hard to imagine, I've had pieces break off during my sleep too, now that will wake you up in a hurry choking on a tooth or tooth particles holy crap!!

I can identify with your pain here I have been having alot of trouble with breaking teeth just lately. My New Years. Well I got rained out of my show and this is the last weekend of selling before I leave. I am staying with a friend and her Dad is going to come here on Wednesday and do some repairs on the mobil. Her brother tells me that he is going to put me out on the streets. I have my cats here and my dog and all my really good things. The things I didn't want to take to storage, because they might get broken. There is more if you can believe that but you get the just. My New Year isn't going to well so far.

{{Morningstar}}; Yes ones teeth breaking off is really bad for us, and its just embarrassing ( to me) to most women I think; But what's this about your friends brother kicking you out of her place? Does the brother live there too and if not what business is it of his to put you out; Oh my God!! What a jerk!!! What are you going to do?? What about your pets?? I swear I don't know how people can be so mean and cruel; please tell me or post here what is going on ok?? You can PM me if you'd rather; How horrible for you, I hope you get to stay or at least find someplace, not sure where you are but its darn cold here in my state as it is in most of the USA this time of year.... Sounds like this guy needs a swift kick in the pants too!

I wish it was that easy. It is her father that is coming to make repairs on the mobil. She is wheelchair bound and runs it into the wall in the tiny hall. She has gouged the wall down to the outside skin. Her father said I can stay here if I pay him $100.00 a day. Of course I can't do that because then all the money I have for the move will be gone. I do not know if he knows I am disabled and also on SSI. Anyway I would like to get 2 weks to get compleatly out of here. I have to take it slow because of my back and knees. I have a friend (Istill have to pay him) thaat is going to help with the outside things. I was usinmg the smaller storage unit for the business things and now I don't need it for that. I can re-arange the things there so I can get the other stuff in it. I have a few feet but it goes up 8'. I think I can get most of it in there. The larger unit is full. So this lady wants me to talk to her dad to see what I am up against. I really need to get out of here. It would be pretty easy for an able bodies person but right now I am in so much pain. I always loose Monday to R and R. Thank you for your concern!!!
