Most of us have their own desktops and laptops because it is considered as a necessity nowadays, right? Because if we have to research something and we don't have an Encyclopedia or a Lexicon, we can use the Internet for researches. But we must also remember that, it is also an advantage if we know how to troubleshoot and repair it by ourselves whenever it encounters a problem. So that we don't need to hire a technician to fix it. At the same time, we can save money then.

This is an interesting discussion and I favour this one! I am into computer maintenance and installation myself! I took a course last year which I completed successfully and now I guess I carry out all my own maintenance and repairs in relation to my pc. I agree that it is a good thing if you can do everything yourself. I'm kind of hoping that there aren't that many people that know how to fix their computers! There's a reason for this! I'm actually looking for some customers! I want to travel down the road of self-employment! I just love delving inside a pc and carrying out basic maintenance tasks. Andrew

There are still a lot of people out there who don't know how to fix their own computers. You'll get some customers, you'll see. I started out with fixing my neighbor's computer and then my neighbor recommended me to her friend, that's how I got started with fixing computers as a part time job. Good luck with fixing computers and have a great day. ^_^

Yes, I think you should know how to troubleshoot computers. I troubleshoot and repair my own computer. It really is an advantage because I don't have to wait for a technician to check my computer. Sometimes, if I just can't figure out what's wrong with my computer, I ask my brother or my friends who also repair computers.
