A close friend of mine died on xmas eve and I was really upset, everyone I spoke to commented how it was an awful time to die....surely anytime is an awful time isnt it? or is there better times than others? I mean surely when you die it was always be a bad time as you never hear people saying oh well that was a good time to die do you?

I agree that anytime is an awful time.. Especially when it's accident-like. I guess when you die, then that's it. It's your time. Well.. If I will take your question, in my opinion, it's a good time to die when you've fulfilled your duties. For example, a father was able to support his family and his children were able to finish school.. I guess something like that..

I look at my answer and realize that it seems two-sided. But you get what I mean..

I think in all honesty the only good time to die is when life is not worth living, i.e. you are in pain every minute of the day, you have become a vegetable and every human need has to be dealt with by someone else. When quality of life has become so bad that dying would end the suffering that is the only time when you can say it was a good time to die, why live and suffer?
