I just received word from my high school pal that she is getting married at the end of this year.
and We're ALL SO HAPPY for her. I mean she is the FIRST in our class to get married as far as i know.. so naturally it's something new and i'm ecstatic.
Anyway, when i told my mum about it, she looked at me & went "your THAT friend?" And she frowned.
I mean, we'd be all turning 23 this year & is that too young to get married?
I know the norm is to get married at 25 and above but i mean, if my friend feels that she is financially stable (she came out to work much earlier than the rest of us) and if she has found "the right man", i don't see what is the problem.
So tell me, would you frown when you hear a 22 or 23 year old female getting married?

well..it's just fine..no problem with getting married as long as both of you are stable or the major things here to consider if both of you finished studying already and landed a good job..you have to think of your future..your future together with your little kids..

Congrats to your friend on her marriage. I guess if she's ready to commit and is mentally prepared to handle a lifelong partnership then sure why not. Why is this topic under parenting by the way? Marriage doesn't always mean having children quickly. My friend she got married at 18 and is a mom already so that was pretty quick, and probably accidental :P So hearing a 22 or 23 year old female getting married is not very surprising but i would think she's too young.
