sometimes my mind wanders and a lot of questions come in my mind .one of them iWhy were we born without our consent?I was not asked to be born? Were you?To be involuntarily born, subjected to immense suffering of living this assigned life. Why? WITH ALL DUE RESPECT: NO RELIGIOUS ANSWERS!

Well just one reply and I don't know if you will consider this religious but actually to me it is not. We were born for a reason. God allows us to be born and exist on earth for a purpose and that purpose we have to discover as we live our life here on earth. And as we discover the purpose of God for our life...let us learn to make the most out of what we have in order to have it well done till the day of our end comes.

This same question was asked on Yahoo answers, is that you?? I do hope you are not having pain and suffering enough to want to end this life that you have been so graciously given.. Sometimes there are no answers only questions and as soon as we accept that, we can go on and live our lives to the fullest.. I hope you have family and friends who will help you with this question or I hope you can accept the answers that you get and feel better about yourself.. Sometime the answers are in religion, but that is for you to find out for yourself.. Good luck to you in finding the right answers for you, it is sad to be confused about life..

because this is nature, and this is how nature works, we are born from a seed and an egg and at that point we don't even have a body or brain so how can we be asked.

You have asked a very interesting question. Our consent should have been taken, before we came to this world, but Alas! no one bothered to do so........LOL! I think it is a universal process that who so ever takes birth in this world, he/she is not asked for an option by the Great God. We are also part of this process, when we give birth to our children, we also do not ask, whether they want to come to this world..............LOL!' Life is very precious and one born as human, after so many birth, may be 64 lakhs biths. So let's enjoy our life, which has been granted to us by the Great God. Happiness and sadness are part of our life and everyone has to face it.

Yes, you are right, we have no control over our birth, we do have control on our living and we should live our life in the befitting manner.

Yes, nature and God cover many areas, where a human being cannot find an answer.

Since part of my answer had to do with religion, and you prefer no religious answers, then I have no answer.. I will be interested in reading the other responses to this question..

This is not mundane and I think this is the root of everything! WHY is the basis of philosophy, root of our existence. We all have different opinion as to this but I think LIFE is the most beautiful thing and living it substantially, making ourselves the happiest and others happy cater to a successful living. I am seeking that happiness and peace.

I do not assume that I did not choose to get onto the wheel of life. For one thing, it does little good to be angry with the situation you may find yourself in.i do agree with you, that life is really beautiful, when i have a possitive attitude.

I think it is our lot in life. I think there is some mission or lesson we have to learn so that is why where born to the family and to the life we are born with. Now it is our doing for what we do with our selves after we become of age.

How do you know you did not ask to be born? Does your memory go back to conception? When do you think you became you?

I think people were born to make the world a better place. Help culture to survive and add on to it. I think each generation is supposed to help the one before it die with dignity and the one after it learn how to be adults and survive. Really, no offense, you don't know if you were asked. If you were, you probably forgot. XP lol
