I'm trying to get over a cold and my throat is horrible right now. I've been taking medication but to help ease the terrible cough I have, I'm looking for the best cough drops. I do not like cough drops that taste like medicine. Halls makes a cough drop that is Tropical Fruit flavor and it's YUCKY! I love the Fruit Breezers variety - especially the strawberries and cream, tastes more like candy but seems to work o.k. too. I also really like the Riccola cough drops. The original ones. I just ran out of the Fruit Breezers and picked up a bag of the Riccola herbal cough drops. They are tiny but they seem to work the best out of all the cough drops I have tried. What about you? Which ones do you prefer? Which ones seem to calm your coughs?

I love Halls And Ludens cough drops. The halls work the best for me but the Ludens taste the best.

I prefer Halls but I wonder if the kind of cough one has makes a difference. I have sinus problems, and Halls helps clear my breathing as well as soothes my throat. there's another name brand that makes cough drops just for sore throats but I can't remember what it is. Maybe Vicks?

I find Fisherman's Friend to be the most effective, and the most NASTY. They are licorice and menthol, and pepper. They really clear you up and sooth the throat, and I know that you would hate them.

My Asthma seems to have gotten worse in the last few years, so I have been experimenting with many different cough drops. The ones that seem to work best for me is the regular and liquid filled Halls. I like the Fruit Breezes, when my cough is not so bad. Right now, I am using the Halls Defense, with Vitamin C. For the most part, they are not strong enough for my sore throat problems. I don't like the taste of Riccola very much, but they do work very well.
