http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/ufos/article2108149.ece INFO & PICS ONLY. A 65ft wind turbine blade was ripped off and one badly damaged with no trace of what has hit it. Interesting story. What do you think caused this damage? What were the strange lights and noises heard at 4am? Thoughts please. Ellie :D

Hi ellie,
That is so weird, those wind turbines looked a mess, and those lights? now if it were an aircraft, a liile one, it would have crashed but there was nothing there, it makes you wonder don't it? love and huggles.

Yes, there are big cats out there somewhere, but, how we got from ufos to big cats,if you seen one of those big cats you should have reported it to animal control...I visit your profile and i would like to know what is pureprofile, how do you get paid using their services?

Hi Sirnose, oops, I had anotherdiscussion juststarted on big cats and that was a link from the Sun also. The UFO and wind turbine though has been on the BBC news and other news channels so not just this paper reporting it. Sorry for the confusion there. LOL. Pureprofile is a survey site but you need to visit once a week ans they don't always notify you of new ones available, they will then pay directly into your bank account by BACS once you reach a certain amount. Takes a while to mount up but is a genuine site. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hello ellie
that would be interesting to see, if there were more people that saw this it could be something, UFO, One never know, like I say, we can't be the only ones in this Universe. There has to be others, somewhere.

You figure something would be out there, a piece of metal. If it was airplane you know that the plane would have crashed. i wonder what it was? Do you know if they took that piece to examine it? Let me know if they find out anything, I'm curious.

It's a really strange story, Ellie - and a mystery. You'd think if it had been something 'tangible', they'd have found wreckage of a small plane or whatever ... so, very odd. There has been an incredible increase in reported UFO sightings in Australia lately, too - makes you wonder whether we're heading for an invasion ...

I saw this story tonight on the BBC World News. What can I say? The evidence behind such speculation seemed rather slight.

I really have no idea what it could be I hate to speculate, I am more of a personality that likes to wait for the results to come in before I make any opnions,

It is rather intriguing ho a wind turbine was damaged. However I really doubt that it was a UFO. It ccould have been a thunderstorm? Or was it damaged by birds or a plane. Rather interesting story and mysterious in a way

Wow....that would be pretty freaky! But I am not one who believe so much in UFO's....I think there probably is a more realistic answer to what happened....I might be wrong though and be visited tonight by extra trestrials....but I'll take my chances at saying it was a fluke.

Hi Ellie. Is the Sun a reputable newspaper or a trashing tabloid? I'm just wondering because in the U.S., we have some tabloids that just publish the most ridiculous stuff that couldn't possibly be true. The article was truly interesting. It does make you wonder what could be so large that it could wipe out one of those "spokes" of the wind turbine. Those things are absolutely huge.
Last month on our trip to Illinois, I saw some of them, and they are gigantic!
Plus, it's odd that some would be that big, yet not "crash" right there where it hit the turbine. I don't know what to think! Maybe it was a UFO.

Hi PearlGrace, A lot of people would call it a trash paper but this was over all the news channels too and in other papers it was just that I was in this paper link for the cat story so used the same one. I think because no debris was found of any aircraft etc it has caused people to question what it was that managed to do this. Huggles. Ellie :D

There hasn't been a good UFO story in a long time. I went to Roswell and visited the museum, it was boring, all this black and white stuff about aliens. We need some new ones!

Hey ellie! I don't know! What do you think? I would never
rule out the possibility of it being a UFO! Why not? It has
never been proven whether they do exist or don't! I believe
that there is a very good chance that there are some other
types of life somewhere out there so I certainly wouldn't be
surprised! Would you? I just don't know why they don't want
to make themselves known? Or maybe they do! There are too many
of these unexplainable incidents that keep happening! And
unless someone can explain them I am open to suggestions!

Hi Opal, Considering the other blade is completely missing and no other debris has been found it was hit by a very powerful force so yes it is a possibility. Also two police helicopters have had near misses recently so there is something up there. The universe is vast so I believe we are not alone. I will follow the story to see if any more is discovered. Where is the missing blade? Why no debris? very interesting. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Ellie...until I have replied to you I cannot say anything about it, but I do know that where you live or the area where you live is a UFO hotspot and I know that they are real as I have seen one before...huggles littleowl

One of the later theories is that the damage could have been caused by a build up of ice in the severe weather, thgis would distort the blades and rip them off if they were unbalanced.
Naturally as it warmed up towards dawn the ice would melt leaving no evidence, as in murders committed with a chunk or 'blade' of ice.
