Free stuff is no good!

Do you agree? Or have you got something free that was really good? I once had a camera. I curse the day I lost it; and now, I have to save enough to get that digital camera I have my eye on. I want to take loads of pictures of my pets and my garden, and without a camera, it is impossible. I also need loads of pictures for my blogs. Yesterday, I tried to find "free pictures" on the Internet. The pictures I came across were just awful. They seemed absolutely lifeless. No wonder they were free! Is there any free stuff around that is really worth having? Cheers and happy Mylotting

I register for a free sample of perfume. I won't label a name but it's really popular. And i received it weeks later and I was quite disappointed that the perfume is just a post card with a little sachet of perfume, i mean really little. maybe some other products of sampling is okay. But i enjoy free taste in groceries, hehe.

What happened to 'the best things in life are free?' The sound of the wind in the treetops, the feel of sunlight on your skin, a hug from a friend? OK, maybe I'm beginning to sound a little 'Sound of Music' here, so I'd better stop this train and tell you about some of my favourite freebies. I believe in telling people when I'm looking for something. You'd be surprised how many times people have just the thing sitting unused in their garage! I think my favourite (and largest!) freebie to date has been a caravan!

The BEST things in life are FREE. I have literally 1000's of pictures I've taken and would gladly email you as many as you like even with what type of pics you like AND that picture of that CAT you have here is SO CUTE! That is adorable - I have about 20 or so out back- they seem to love me and since I saw that now I want that one too!

HI Positive: Like you I've never really gotten anything of any value for free, maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places (G)! I "hear" there are sites to join and get "free stuff" all the time but I've never taken the time to look and or to join them, too busy and I can barely keep up with the sites I am on now and that's with my log books with all my info on them, yikes!! Hope you find a good camera, there really are some pretty good ones these days that don't cost a small fortune...

I suppose what it is that you are trying to find for free. Last year I got a calendar from Chik-Fil-A (a restaurant here in the States) that had a coupon for something free (although sometimes "buy this, get that free) every month, which was a good deal, because the calendar itself was free. To top it off, I got a gift card with it that was one that was randomly sent out with $100 on it. It made for some variety at lunch time at work. :) I also use free webmail, which is great. And, of course, myLot is free. :)

I got a free digital camera once just for filling in a basic form, I already had a digital camera but as it was free I thought why not, do as a present, I am always sceptical about free things not that they are no good but whether you get them in the first place, empty promises and all that but, no sure enough the digital camera arrived and I wrapped it up that Christmas for my cousin she was over the moon with it and she used it to take pics of her newborn son which she sent me, so we were both happy with it!

of course there is free stuff that is good, just as stuff you buy can be bad as well, my e zine is free, it is a darn good e zine loved by many people around the world. I got lots of free stuff during my lifetime some was good some was not, it all depended. Samples for examples are just small amounts of a product that is not free but many times you get the samples for free just to try it out. Professional photographers make their living by taking pictures, that is how they work and feed their family, do you think they will give away their best stuff for free? Would you give away the money you work for to just anybody who wants it?

I get a lot of good free stuff off the internet and books from my best friend. I also get all types of freebies like, shampoos, razors, photo printer paper, the list goes on and on. We use it all and it helps out! Also when I cant use things I give them away normally too. Check out free-cycle newsletters at yahoo and there is some amazing things there at time.

Hi friend, sure enough you can buy another camera by saving your online earnings then watch out for sale. There are lots of sale out there in which you can choose from. My project is also to buy a new camera from my online earnings. digital camera is really useful when we are engage in an online business. You can make it. It's hard to find good websites that will allow us to download free photos. It is always advantage to have our own camera. Good luck.

Hey positiveminded! I wish I could tell you that there was great "free stuff" on the Internet, but I haven't found any! I thought I found a great site, but I keep signing up for free stuff and then I never get any of the stuff that I sign up for! Once in awhile I will get something that I do sign up for, but most of the time I don't! I am also trying to get a camera because I want to take some pictures of my cats and be able to post them! But, it will be a long time until I can save money to get a camera!

I have never gotten anything worth having that was free, but very lucky people have i suppose. Free is better than not free. Some people pay for the peice of crap items others get for free.

Hi positive, I agree with you about that! Like a simple situation in the store, they are giving free sample of any food they are preparing and selling also and I have tried to get once and I hide in the corner and out it in my pocket! I didn't like the taste and hubby said, that's what you get when it is free! LOL!

Hi Positiveminded, This is an area where I have been very lucky in the past. It might be worth putting a wanted for the camera on your local Freecycle site as they are worldwide and I have received many items from there as well as given stuff including a brand new orthopedic bed for a neighbour as it was too firm for the wife and they needed space for another one being delivered. It is just after Christmas so maybe someone has a digital camera that has been updated in a draw somewhere. I also have received some excellent freebies from free stuff sites including a Venus womans razor, cat food puches, vouchers, shampoo, bubblebath, soap so just keep looking. Huggles. Ellie :D

It is said that"good production always expensive while the cheaper ones have bad quality"?Even in the supermarket something is cheap but not good.Just buy a better for yourself!

In my opinion, i think not. As the saying goes, there is no such thing as a free lunch. I find that at least 9 out of 10 of the free stuff are quite useless or impractical. If not, the price of the "free" stuff is included with the thing that you bought. The only usable free stuff that i remembered receiving is the kitchen ware i get from buying a tube of toothpaste.
