I'm a big fan of the show and have always enjoyed watching it. Its where I can see Richard Belzer aka Munch and yes I have the book. My daughter purchased it at Borders for a Christmas Gift.
Do you like Stephanie March? She played Alexandra Cabot and will be on for 6 episodes. Personally, I don't like the new ADA, so will be watching to see if the ratings go up. Which do you like better? Is this the ratings answer?

I did not know that Richard Belzer wrote a book I do like his character. I did not think I would like Ice T when he started on the show but I did like his character.

I love Munch. I can remember when he started with the character of Munch back on Homicide: Life on the Street. He started playing the character of Munch in 1993 and has done so now in 7 different series.
Couple of other interesting things. While he was playing Munch and filming Homicide: Life on the Streets a criminal once ran smack dab into the filming and surrendered to the actors because he thought they were cops. Belzer had to testify.
The other thing is he is a cousin of Henry Winkler. I can see the resemblance.

Belzer plays every role quite well. I agree no surprise that he is related to Henry Winkler, who is a great actor. Henry shows up on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, as a surprise and is always funny. Thanks for the reply.

I love the cast of SVU. I love Benson and Stabler of course and definitely loved Alex compared to the new ADA. Not really a big fan of her and I'm hoping that having her on the show doesn't ruin it.

I love that show. Every episode is different and very interesting. The writers work hard and it shows. The filming is good also. I have never read any of the books.

Munch is the bomb! Love Mariska. Someone needs to give Christopher Meloni an Emmy, for pity's sake, the man works his butt off and has some amazing material.
So Alex is coming back for a bit? I hadn't heard that. That should be interesting! I missed her when she left.
As for the new ADA, I don't mind her, I suppose, although there are times that I'd like to punch her in the face. She doesn't have the passion yet that Casey had - she actually reminds of the way Alex was at first, a bit detached, but ruthless nonetheless. She'll probably grow on me. I don't really have a favorite ADA, though.
As for the ratings, SVU is one of NBC's best-rated dramas, so I don't think they're too worried about it. Might bring in a few more viewers to have Alex back, but I don't think it'll make an extreme difference.

I know the show is one of the best rated on NBC; however, Meloni and Mariska are making a lot of money this year. I hope this works, as don't want to see casting change next season. Thanks for the reply.
