Dalmatian Dog

I always wanted to have a Dalmatian dog for my pet. I talked my husband into getting me on and now everyone start to telling me that Dalmatian dog is not a good one to have. I havent heard anything positive about them. Anyone here have Dalmatian at home or knows about Dalmatian?

someone once told me they can be bad tempered, but can't we all.
I have a doberman and their reputation is very bad, but she'e the most gentle intelligent dog ever.
I think it all depends on how they are treated, give them rules to stick by and lots of love so they know where they stand and you shouldn't have problems.
