I hate forwards. They are so irritating that i jsut delete them the moment I see a forward.t is one wayt of telling a person "I don't have time for you so i am just sending you some thing to keep you busy. if and when i have some time for you i will write to you, but it does not seem possible as of now."
Well i don't need to be kept busy as I have sufficinet work as it is.Why waste my time with forwards. most people do nto know how to send a forward too. They do not delete the remanants of the previous sender's details. There is a long list of emails and details of who sent it to hwo and then to whom and where allit has travelled. The main gist is very small. What a waste of time.
Do you like forwards?

No, I don't. I honestly hate forwards, and although I receive an awful lot from email contacts, I don't forward any of them. When I read a funny joke, I do save it, but everything else I delete! I hate email forwards, and I don't bother other people with it either. I especially hate those chain letters that say "Send this to 10 people or else you will have bad luck" or "if you are really my friend, send this to 10 people including me" or "if you love Jesus and are not ashamed of him, send this to 10 people". I mean, I don't believe in any of that chain letter crap, and if I don't send back an email to you, does that mean we're not friends anymore? or if I don't forward this email, does it automatically make me ashamed of Christ? What if I just find email forwards a waste of time?! WAHHH I'm so mad right now LOL!
I had this coworker before whom I found really stupid. In our unit we had like almost 10 people based in different parts of the country, and we communicated through email. Though forwarding non-work-related emails is prohibited, people do it anyway. Heck, even our bosses did it. Anyway, they were avid email forwarders, much to my annoyance, and I would receive and delete a lot everyday. Worse yet, one of my coworkers had this really infuriating habit. When one person forwards an email to everyone in the unit, she would forward it again to everyone (sometimes including herself) in the same unit. How infuriatingly stupid is that?!?!? I hate receiving the same stupid chain letter twice!!!
Heheh so sorry this is very long, but I just had to let all that pent up emotion out.

I don't like them either. I don't have time for them and I especially hate them being sent by friends that never take a moment to contact me other than those things. Beyond all that, I have gotten viruses on a couple of occassions opening them. I am like you....just delete.

The only email's I forward are the funny ones or the really good ones that I know my family and friends will enjoy.
I really hate getting those chain letters about how if you don't send it to a certain amount of people then you'll have bad luck for a certain time and all those really silly ones.

I used to hate getting forwards. But some of them are really good. Some make you laugh, others have a new way of looking at life, and some others are facts that you know you should know - and your freinds too. In a week, i pick some good ones and forward them to my friends. I know they enjoy them as well. SOmetimes they send back a reply saying how good it was, and to be sure to forward similar forwards to them.
I dont ahve a mailing list, and usuallly load emails and names manually, so i really think of the person i send the Fwd to, also if they'll like the kind im sending them.
I never send Hindus Christian mails, i know they may not like it.
I can understand you annoyance if you get too many of the junk type of forwards. I used to get those kinds as well.
But i never thought of it as "since i dont have time for you, im sending you this".
Happy mylotting.

Hi mercuryman3a! I don't mind a few every now then but I have a few friends that that is all they do! For a while my emails were flooded with forwards and it got to where I didn't even read them anymore. It's just to much to sift through sometimes.I have gotten a few that I enjoyed but for the most part they were just time consuming.

I don't like receiving a particular type of forward. The chain letters, or the ridiculously long jokes or the useless bits of information that people will sometimes pass on - you are right it is just time-wasting.
I will only forward things to people if I truly feel that it will be useful for them and I do not, or very rarely send forwards to large groups of people

Every once in a while I like to forward something. But over the years I have been so bombarded by e-mails that have been forwarded to me, it drives me crazy. I have actually asked friends not to send me so many. I then ask for them to send me a nice e-mail message letting me know how they are doing instead.
I thought it was funny, when e-mail first came about, the industry made a huge statement in regards to everyone being able to stay in touch with friends and family be able to send mail a lot more quickly and on and on. I think 95% of the nation that uses e-mail only uses it to forward stuff they got.
Sometimes I wonder if we shouldn't go back to sending letters via the regular postal services.
