why can't i uninstall avg 8.0?

i have tried to install it everyway that i know how to uninstall it and it just will not get off of my computer after i restart it, its still there no matter what i try and do and i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and if you did, how did you get rid of it because im sure that its not only mine or i would hope not, so anyone got any ideas? i would like to take this time to thank everyone for taking the time out of your day to come by and read and review my discussion and hopefully answering, and trying to help me, and i hope that you all have a great day and night tonight, thanks again for taking the time to stop by.

Did you look in your control panel for an add on or something. I have not tried to unistall mine, but I get the feeling it is not working very well. I use the free one.
I just looked in my programmes and its just one thing that came with it. I hope someone might help you with this though.

go to control panel then to add or remove program and from there select the AVG and them remove thats it.

It could possibly be that something is infected in your avg. What I do when I encounter these problems is reinstall the program and as soon as it is reinstalled I uninstall it. One other option is doing a system restore to before you installed AVG.
