My husband and I would like to buy one some day but we don't know much about them. We'd like to use it for things like dragging downed trees out of the woods to burn, simple things such as getting our mail from our long and steep driveway or just to take something from one place to another and maybe have some fun just riding. We've been looking at a four wheeler instead of a three wheeler because of safty reasons.
So if you have one or have had one or have any experience with them, which one is the best one? and why? Is there anything that we should know before buying one? It won't be happening any time soon but any advice will be very much appreciated! Thanks!!

Mine is the best one! Mine is the best one! It's for sale... wanna buy it? I have a 2007 200 Phoenix Sport. We have a trailer for it that my husband bought so that I could cart my gardening stuff around.
I never wanted the thing!!! I wanted a rider mower. He surprised me with this last Christmas. I rode it once, about 100 yards. My kids have each had a turn and so has my husband. This thing doesn't even have one mile on it!!!
But, it works great. It's nothing but a big, expensive toy that no one uses these days. It's taking up space in our garage, gathering dust and nothing more. I really have been trying to sell it. He paid something like $3,700.00 for it, including the trailer and cover and I'm trying to get at least $2,000.00 for it, which is not a bad deal, considering how far it's actually been ridden!
Oh, it comes with ramps, too, to get it onto and off of a truck. I'm told it's a very good ATV and it certainly has power! This thing scared me when I first got it going. I had to learn how to keep it slower than 'full speed ahead'. LOL I got the hang of it after 50 feet or so, but... wow! It definitely has power.
Hubby wanted to pull an old boat up from the edge of our lake that's been here since we moved in with the ATV, but never has. (He's a world-class procrastinator.) I just want to get rid of it. I think he lost his mind, at least temporarily, when he bought it for me. At first, I thought he had actually bought it for himself, only TELLING me it was for me to justify the expense, but he hasn't been using it, either.
It's a very good and handy thing to have around if you have a lot of hauling to do or if you just like racing around on things like this. It's simply not my style. Let me know if you're interested, okay? You're not far from my house in Halifax, and I'll be needing to go down that way a few times this Spring and Summer, maybe even before Spring.

Have you ever thought about a golf cart? I don't know much about ATV's but know a few people that use the golf carts for that type of thing.

My husband and I have had many four wheelers after our first three wheeler. The four wheeler are much safer and we have done all the things that you have mentioned. There is no way that we could have made it without our four wheelers on the farm. Now we still have the four wheelers but we bought a Ranger which is a more glorified four wheeler with top on it and we can sit beside one another and it has a dump bed on the back. We decided that we ought to invest in one because we both were getting older and it waa getting harder and harder for us to straddle the four wheelers. We have had Yamaha's mostly. I hope some of this is helpful for you. God bless you!
