Ok, time to fess up. What's your favorite hostess snack? twinkies? Ho-hos, ding-dongs, suzy-q's, or the cupcakes? Or are you strictly a Little Debbies fan? I'm sure there are others and if it's your favorite let me know. I have to say my mood varies from time to time, but my steady favorite are the chocolate cupcakes. And if we are talking Little Debbis, the Nutty Bars, hands down.

I was near a Hostess outlet when I lived in Wisconsin. It was both a blessing and a curse, lol.

Not a sweet thing in the house? Well now that's the saddest thing I've heard today. I think a run to the grocery is in order and cupcakes should be on the list! Come on, you know you want to, lol.

Ding Dongs are my favorite, but I really like Suzie Q's too. I freeze the Susie Q's and then eat them not quite frozen but still really cold. I don't know why but I like them better that way.

The freezing them came because my parents used to buy groceries for a month or two at a time so they would buy a bunch of them and then freeze them to keep them from going stale. We'd get them out of the freezer but were to impatient to wait for them to thaw completely before we ate them and found we liked them better that way.

I never thought about freezing them. That's an interesting idea. Right now I'm craving a Suzy-Q with maybe a little chocolate sauce on top!

I love most of the Hostess snacks. As long as it doesn't have nuts, coconut or other foreign matter in it or on it. Little Debbies are also very good. I like the oatmeal cookies with the frosting in the middle. If I had to choose just one I don't think I could! I adore the Cupcakes, Hohos, DingDongs, Zingers and Twinkies.

I'm right there with you. I completely forgot about zingers. When I was little that was the snack my mom kept around the house (was probably her favorite). Funny story...it had been probably about 15 years since I had had or even seen a zinger. I was at the grocery store and the craving hit me. I picked up the chocolate (it has to be the chocolate). I got home, opened the box...they were so small! I was like, what are they bite size now, lol. Every once in a while reality strikes you in the strangest way.

I wonder if they are really smaller or if they just seem smaller because our hands are bigger now.

I don't eat any of these now, but when I was younger my favorite was Ho-hos. Even though Ding dongs tasted the same as Ho-hos to me, there was something about the Ho-hos that made me like them better. It's probably the way were rolled like a log. Whenever I would take a bite there would be an equal amount of chocolate and goop. LOL

I would disagree. Being the snack cake oficianado that I am (lol) I would say that ding dongs and ho-ho have a very different taste. I don't know if it's the ratioe of cake to chocolate to creme filling that make it differnt to me or what. But, I would like to go on the record that i much preferred the Ho-ho's.

While I love the song Suzy Q, it's not my favorite Hostess snack. I love ho-hos. They're awesome. I eat all of the chocolate coating off of one first and then eat the cake. And Little Debbie Nutty Bars are the best ever! Ever!

Ho-ho's were my favorite when I was little. But today, I have to admit I like the Little Debbie version better(shhhh, don't squeal on me). I don't know what it is, I think the chocolate and the cake just has a better taste.

I am more of a Little Debbie fan than a Hostess fan. My favorite Hostess snack is a Cherry Fruit Pie. Man I love those things. As far as Little Debbies go, I like most of them. Star Crunch is probably my favorite though.

Oooo, fruit pies. I used to eat those all the time in high school, and yes the cherry was my favorite as well. You all are bringing back some sweet snacking memories. I do like the Star Crunch from Little Debbie's. But, and here's something I don't say often, it almost too sweet for me. Now the nutty bars, has the perfect balance of chocolate(do you all see a recurring theme here, lol?), peanut butter, and wafers.

My son loves Nutty Bars. He would eat the whole box in one day and that is saying something because the boy barely eats.
