Could you listen to the same type of music every single day?

My boyfriend is obsessed with the 50's. The clothes, the cars, the music, the decor. Everything in his life has to be very 50's.
I don't mind most of the things, but I hate the fact that everytime we get in the car he turns his Sirius Satellite radio onto a 50's station and that's that. Then we get home and it's the same thing on the home stereo system. All the time he's around, it's all old rock, which I didn't mind, but am starting to get really sick of.
I have a huge wide variety of musical tastes, and I hate that he's not into variety at all.

Man that sounds really annoying! I have my favourite kind of music that I listen to more than other kinds but you have to have some variety or it just gets boring. I think anything that is repeated enough times becomes boring. I play in a band and even if a song we play is one of my favourites, I will get sick of it after we've repeated it over and over.
I wonder if your boyfriend is mentally ill.....lol
I have to say though, it's a bit selfish of him not to let you play some of your music, especially if he insists on playing the same kind all the time. That would drive me crazy!

Yes, I like a variety of music too. Any kind after too long especially on the radio gets to be repeats after repeats and month after month of it! I had rather listen to diffferent types . It varies by my mood sometimes too what I want to listen to.
I think you need to tell him and ask to listen to your choice sometime. If not it will get more and more irrating to you!

I really don't know...if I did it would probably drive me nuts b/c I like such a wide variety of music. I could give it a try with 50's music though since I like it so much but honestly, I'd probably get bored with it after awhile.
As to your problem, I'd invest in a portable player and headphones and listen to what you want. If he says anything I'd tell him the truth...his music is making you sick.

During 50's everything was good, like people, weather, music nature etc.... Listening to same music every day is not boring, Is sleeping with the wife everyday boring for man ?

There are times that when I have this very favorite song I keep to listen to it in a week. You will anticipate me listening to it for a week but not in a month. What are the type of music played in 1950's why does it is his favorite anyway?

What I would do change a little of the music at a time which he well not noctice it
and not tell him and keep on doing this till he's out of the 50's music don't do all at once then you be in trouble!!! I like all kinds of music but my freind one is country [yuk] and the other is o.k. he's lot like me from the hippie area you got it. SO GOOD LUCK!

That is one genre of music I don't like. The only group I like are the Spinners and that's it, lol.

It is nice when someone wants to be true 50's lookalike. And it is even nicer when someone really follows it. Yes, I could listen to the same genre of the music everyday. Maybe you two should have two listening rooms so everyone can enjoy his genre of music. xD
