Hi mylotters -- Today I've got on the turntable in my head "Blue Bayou" and "What a Difference a Day Makes." I think "Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost every night?" will be coming up soon.
I thought I was going to be singing Christmas songs 'til March, but nah...it's oldies day. Weird, isn't it, how a song gets in your head and stays there? Especially when it's one you haven't heard in years.
What songs are on the turntable in your head?

Cool. I'm having fun finding out what music my friends here have in their heads.
Thanks for your input.

How about, "Never On A Sunday," "Oh, Carol!" "Puppy Love," Do these songs ever played on your turntables? I like Blue Bayou by Linda Ronstadt. How about, "Stand By Me," and "Crazy" and "Misty?" Are they your favorites?

Mmm..at the moment my mind is blank...
Funny though it might not be songs so much that are in my "turntable" but for some weird reason music from movie soundtracks--don't ask how long the soundtracks from the Lord of The Rings movies were floating in my mind...or Chronicles of Narnia especially the battle scene music...my current soundtrack playing in my head is the music from The Seeker...

For shame!! Tsk..tsk..tsk..you didn't see those movies??? LOL
The music is mainly instrumental, but of course their are the end credit songs to the movies in them---actually I love just about all kinds of music...was weaned on classical/ballet music, studied quite a bit too...but then also love good old rock n roll, jazz, New Age.
I was writing an article for this website about the career of The Beatles...and I swear couldn't get that one early song of theirs out of my mind...She loves you..yeah, yeah, yeah, She loves you yeah, yeah, yeah, She loves you yeah, yeah, yeah....YEAH (sing together..LOL)

Hmm. I'm not familiar with any of those. Are they instrumental or have words?
I think instrumental music in my head would be pleasant unless it was hip-hop

LOL. I have heard of those songs. I really do not have any songs in my turntable in my head right now though. My hubby told me the one about the bubblegum LOL. It is cute.

Tee-hee! I've been keeping real busy with other things today and they're gone.
So now you know a new song!

I hate the songs that get stuck in my head. If I even hear a note of "Crimson and Clover" or "8675309" I can't get them out! I never listened to either of them through the whole song, but I can't get 'em to quit playing! Drives me nuts!
Now I wouldn't mind if it was some of Madonna or REO Speedwagon, but my head doesn't play them over and over. No, it has to play the darned annoying songs above.
I wish my jukebox head would play "Keep on Lovin' You" (REO), "Open Your Heart" (Madonna), "Always" (Shania Twain), "Bop"(Seals), "Nice to be with you", and other oldies. Then I wouldn't mind listening to it all day. But no, to get those I gotta open media player. I got a faulty jukebox, I think...

I hear ya snow and I'm chuckling over your frustration. Sometimes when a song gets stuck in my head it drives me crazy!
Thanks for sharing. I think I've heard "Always" and I like that one.
