Do you procrastinate?

Are you one of those people that always have about a million things to do but just can't get them done? Do you say I should put that next load of laundry in, but then do something else? Do you put off things for tomorrow that you could do today? I unfortunately am and I would like to know about your experiences as well.

Yes, I do procrastinate. I think sometimes it is just that I am so overwhelmed I do not know what to do first. If I cannot be perfect, I often do not try.

I do procrastinate on somethings. It is usually do to having too much to do that I don't know where to start. Also, I tend to not want to start something if I don't feel I will be able to do it perfectly. It can be cripling.... I seek a cure to this illness daily.

Yes, I've always had the tendecy to procrastinate. It's a bad ahbit that i've had al;l my life. I have to discipline myself to get things done. What I do is make a list in my diary of things to do and then prioritize them. Thisd list can get pear shaped due to wehatever else crops up in the day but having ia list works for me. Now where's my list?

I have been putting off cleaning my double oven but I am going to spray it to night and wash it out in the morning once the stuff has melted all the gunk.Today funny enough I have been doing some over due shredding of papers they went back four years,my poor shredder got so hot it stopped working so I gave it half an hour off then continued.I have emptied a whole cupboard,I rang the insurance and got them to mend a leaky pipe in the bathroom, sent a really nice plumber out he did the job ,and to my husbands delight I have cleaned the tea stain off the side of our double drawer divan bed,I dropped a cup of tea about three weeks ago and kept meaning to clean it up,but there was always something more pressing. The sad part is I have not worked properly for three years either so you cannot say I am to busy .when I worked I drove everyone round the bend with doing everything, putting every thing away in the right place. Now I think that will wait for tomorrow ,or later I have plenty of time and nothing gets done.

I just responded to another post about procrastination, then I saw this one and thought I'd put in my two cents here as well. My problem is that I choose to do the things I like doing and put off the others. Actually I realise that getting those things out of the way first would help me feel much more contented. So now I will stop myLotting and go and do some filing and some ironing. By the way, usually my husband is much worse than I am, but this morning he told me we needed a repair to our toilet seat, and later he found time to come in and fix it. I am gobsmacked - that's surely a first, and I hope it's not a last as well.
