Atonement is a 2007 film adaptation of Ian McEwan's critically acclaimed novel of the same name, directed by Joe Wright.. The film won an Oscar for the Best Original Score at the 80th Academy Awards, and was nominated for six others, including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress (Saoirse Ronan) At the 61st British Academy Film Awards, it won the Best Film of the Year. The story is about how small things can change people's life..Briony Tallis (played by Saoirse Ronan) is a 13 year old girl whose one mistake ruins the life of her older sister Cecillia (played by Keira Knightley) and her boyfriend Robbie Turner (James McAvoy)... The storyline is too simple and it touches our heart..The camera work and mood of the movie is so beautiful that it appears as if you are reading the novel itself... So don't miss something like this.. It won't disappoint you ..so do watch it ...Have a good time..
