WOW he just gets sworn in and gets straight to work! Take a look: http://www.kcci.com/politics/18509672/detail.html?treets=des&tml=des_natlbreak&ts=T&tmi=des_natlbreak_1_12190101212009 This man I think can do great things! He just gets sworn in and he is already taking action on many situations! I am impressed, are you? Capping the wages of the white house, I love that idea

That's my favorite part too! About time those over-spenders finally had somebody say something. And do something. You can be sure Bush would never have done that! He's got a hard road ahead of him. I wish he'd go after those bank executives that gave themselves raises instead of using the bailout to help the regular people this country rests on.

Yes, I am. He's getting tons done even after all that dancing and staying out late having the biggest day of his life. He's going to close Gitmo in year (you go Barack!). My assistant said this is the kind of action you get when you elect a young President.

Well we'll all be able to see what he's gonna do in the next four years, I heard someone saying that it will probably take more than four years to fix the mess we're in now, but I'd say he's off to a good start by capping the wages of the White House, thats sounds like a good idea to me too...Have a good day

i felt like he'd get right to work. i wish he could put a cap on the seanate & everybody 's wages that has anything to do w/the goverment. they have had it easy way tooooooooo long. alot of them do nothing to earn those big bucks & all the perks they get.i think he will be a hard wo0rker.

So far he has showen us he is! He is president, you would think he could do that with everyone else too. But, I guess, one man can only do so much. Thanks for your response.

Its his job. He's there to work. All presidents get their talking points, and big promises out of the way first as soon as they get in, then things start to slow down.

Hi messageme,I agree,Obama has certainly hit the ground running,As you say the pay structure of the white house employees has been dealt with almost immediately.Hasn't he also set in motion the closing of Guantanamo bay,I'm sure i have seen this around somewhere today,I think all the people held there will be moved to American prisons and given a fair and just trial,Go Obama.

Yes I have also heard that today too. I think someone else started a discussion about it and I don't think he was too happy about it. I'm usually not much of a political person and don't pay attention to many things around me or what is going on around me. This could be a bad thing, but I just really havn't taken the time to care. But saddly I am not familiar with what the Guantanamo is . I really need to catch up on the times don't I?

He said he was going to it the ground running and he hasn't let us down, has he? I also like that he's capped the salaries for the high paid White House staffers. I hope his new regulations regarding lobbyists will satisfy some of those who had been saying he'd broken promises already with some of his hirings. I believe I heard that 17 out of 24 former Bush cabinet members have taken jobs as lobbyists or for companies directly related to the department which they had run and this won't happen with the Obama appointees, he's already made sure of that and that's great. So far, so good! Annie

Hi ya messageme I must admit that I have to agree with you. How much money do the whitehouse employees need? They must be earning a pretty penny eh? I am sure that if they don't like it they can always leave their employment and there will be many people queing to take their place that's for sure!! Obama gets a from me!!
