hi tkleyr...mine is 64151. in the United States of America we have 5 digits +4. the first digit is geographical exa. 0 is for the NE section of the country and 9 is for the West.
the next 2 digits narrow down to smaller regions with major transport. the next 2 digits narrow down to smaller post offices or smaller zones in large cities. then the +4 digits narrow down to city blocks, office buildings or units that receive an abundance of mail.

Regarding your topic forum entitled "what is your postal code" our postal code in mariveles, bataan is 2106. . . I do not know why i always use that postal code when i am filling up an information form like the registration form of my school, registration in yahoo, friendster and many other accounts especially online information. I think the postal code is very useful because if there is a problem about your account they will be easy to find you by the postal code. . . Even in other country the postal code is very useful and important because as i know it is a part of the address. . . And in addition i think is use to trace the location of the people. . . Well that's all my response . . . Thank you very much and mabuhay! ! !
