I just looked through my dvd collection. I noticed the amount of 2disc editions i have bought and never watched - i have watched a few outtakes on some of the dvd`s but never looked at most of the extras on them.
Is it just me or are most of the extras on dvd`s not worth watching?

I agree with you. I hardly ever watch the extras. The only thing I really enjoy are the funny outtakes. We can usually get a laugh out of those. We also tend to watch the deleted clips. But, other than that, I don't really watch the extras. I guess people who are in to seeing how movies are made would enjoy the extras.

Well... not all movies include just deleted scenes. Some of them have a lot of interesting information about the making of the movie, its context, its director... My husband and I love to watch them. We even watch them more than once(like the making of Kubrick's "The shining"). When a movie has nothing but the movie, I feel like something is missing. :)
That's why I love Criterion Collection!

I don't watch the extras for out takes but do if they are showing how different parts of the movies is made. Movies like the Lord of the Rings with the Ints (Tree people) or Gulem I like to watch. I find those parts as interesting as the movie it's self.
