What is up with guys on the internet?!?

You've got nothing to fear from me, because there's the Atlantic Ocean between us and I can't afford a plane ticket. Seriously, I've never got into the "online romance" thing because on a forum like this, you only know what people tell you about themselves. You might respect someone's intellect, writing skills, philosophical outlook etc, but where's the "chemistry" supposed to come from? I certainly can't get my head round anyone who'd prowl a forum like this, looking for "action".

Well I'm not on here for dating at all as I am married. I am chatting with friends about topics that interest me. If I make a few dollars while doing it, fine. But my experience with men here so far............. I haven't yet been propositioned, whew, thank goodness. And many of the males I've met here on the lot have been pretty decent people. But people in general....some, and I say some only, have been pretty nasty. People take what you say sometimes and twist it into something you actually did not say. Something nasty for some reason. Or they thing they are reading between the lines to find a deeper meaning, when in fact what they are atually doing is ASSUMING things just not in evidence. That really annoys me! I said what I said and I meant it. Period. I'm a very straightforward person. I have nothing to hide, no alterior motives, and I resent being told that I do. I feel for ya, I really do. I hope I never have to do the online dating thing. Guys can just be jerks alot of the time, ya know. Ultimately, the ones out there that are "looking for someone" are really only looking for one thing.

I think some guys comes online in chatting for romance while some guys come online for making friends. I think most probably some of them act friendly and descent so that they don't scare you away. I think it is nice to have broadband connection because it is very good in speed. Longtime ago, my friend brought computer and had dialup connection. We used to login to yahoo messenger and we were thinking chatting was something very amazing thing and we were very happy on chatting that days.
