Would you rather be intellectual or talented?

If you could choose between intellect and talent, and you can't have both which would you choose? Would you feel happy if you're smart but don't have any kind of talent? Or would it be nice to have lots of talents, but the poorest intellectual capacity? Discuss.

People say I have both. I rather have the talent to do something and do it well than Any knowledge. Since I love to the actual practice of writing , even though I don't get to do it often, but I am not a writier , I feel like I was a scribe in a previous life. In this one , I can play a few instruments and sing , I would Never give up that ability to be smart.

I would prefer to be both intellect and talented. More than that I would consdier what can help me make more moeny. It is not great to be intellectual and not make much money. You can be a world famous talented person and earn more moeny through that talent. In that case, I prefer to be talented.

I would rather choose intellect over talents. I have very few talents almost nothing. I was very good in drawing objects before and very good in dancing. But then all those talents were gone by now. I could consider myself as an intelligent person (not pulling a leg) because in all my school years I was able to finish all level with honor from elementary to college. I am very happy because it helps me get hired easier. But I do not deny the fact that when you have unbelievable and incredible talent you tend to earn more. Just like the celebrities. They earn more because they can act, sing and dance. Anyway I prefer to be a simple individual without too much controversies. So indeed I would rather be an intelligent person than a talented one.

I would have to choose intellect...I would rather be able to have intelligent conversations with people than have a special talent. Not to say I wouldn't enjoy the products of the talents of others. Maybe the reason I chose this is because I don't have any real talents now and I am quite used to trying to find one and only being mediocre in the end, .

For sure you can be intelligent without a talent. But you can have talent without being intelligent. As for myself I would rather be intelligent and use my intelligence. What do you think?

I'm blessed to have both... lol... but I'm poor in health in real life... lol... and since there are only two choices, I'd rather go with intellect. With great wisdom or intelligence, there are no limitations and possibilities for growth is boundless. The ability to be creative is present when you have pure intellect and no amount of talent can measure up to a person who is wise. If a person have lots of talents but poor in intellectual capacity all those talents will come to waste coz he doesn't know how to use them properly to his benefit but to a wise man, with a simple thought he could employ this people with great talents and now they'll be working under his supervision. Isn't that what most successful people do? They have the money and they are wise and they use it to its full potential by hiring talented individuals in their firms. In the parable of the talents, each person is given their share but only the wise were able to multiply it and they were given more and the foolish person is left empty handed.

I would happy being intellectual, but with my intellect comes my ability to write, so my talent and my intellect some what go hand in hand. But if I couldn't write I still would rather be smart, though I think no matter what you have intellect.

This is a REALLY good question! I'd have to say I would like to have talents rather than intellect. That way, I can sort of set up a safety net in terms of being able to do multiple types of jobs based on those talents. I just hope I would have enough intellect to interview for those jobs!

Hi, I definitively choose to have intellectuality. What is for to have talent and not have the brain for use it? That occurs often Currently in the celebrity world.

I would choose talent over intellect. I do not like to remain a book work all my life. I would probably be writing books and who has time to read books these days? 2 hours is too short a day to do every thing. If I have talent, I can utilise my talent to impress people and to earn a living.
