I was wondering what your take might be on the idea of invitro fertilization and the morality of it. I like to think that I live and let live but sometimes it seems like people are trying to play God with how they are going to procreate. When a number of eggs are fertilized through this method anything can happen and a woman can bear so many children at once which can be dangerous for the mother and child.

I am not against it. A lot of couples have struggles for years and find that this is the only option. Yeah i do think placing more than one egg is a bit much but the procedure is expensive so they are trying to increase the chances of success.

Thanks for your opinion jessi. I don't want to strike up a controversy about this subject I was just looking to get opinions. I think that you are right about this. I have learned that this type of process does take years and a lot of money sometimes. Hey, some people have the time and money and that is just the route that they have to take. Take care.

anything can happen if a woman bares a child naturally as well. fertility pills is the one of the reasons and that is with natural births. invitro fertilization one and only one egg or sperm is implanted at a time, I was around when the first test tube baby was conceived, it was a big thing then, now if that is what people want to do, I am will not judge them.

I am unable to have children I am 34 and been married 18 years. I would love to have children at least one or two. But I don't feel that they are playing God buy using Invitro fertilization. I think of it as God giving them the knowledge to help woman become pregnant. It is a costly process and not all can afford to do it. And adoption is way to hard to do for atleast 90% of us because we don't pass all their rigorous testing or they feel if we don't make at least $100,000 a year we aren't worthy. I agree that having so many can be dangerous for both mother and child but so can only having one. My niece was on complete bed rest for most of her pregnancy. Not as risky as having multiple births though. But it does give people the cahnce to feel the joy and love of holding one of their children in their arms for the first time. seeing or hearing their first smile, giggle or sound.

I don't have a problem with it. There are lots of good people out there that want to bring a child into this world and love it. If that is the only way for them to have children then why not? Although it would be nice if more would consider adopting kids that are already born and don't have parents, but I can see the desire to have their own children. I think they should chose a healthy number of babies to have though and not go for so many that their lives would be in danger.
