hello everybody here at Mylot.
well we dodged the bullet around here in Nashville last night again. around 3:10 a.m. this morning it was freezing rain outside. the vans and the car out in the driveway had an inch of ice on them. then this morning when the alarm clock woke me up at 6:00 a.m., i awoke to it pouring down rain. so, tonight for us, we are supposed to get snow. will we dodge the weather bullet again around here tonight or not? lol if not, there will be a snow day here tomorrow for the school children.
so tell me, did you get freezing rain in your area last night? also, are you due snow tonight?
thanks for sharing and have a beautiful afternoon.

In the south-east of England we had a lovely day yesterday, sunny and mild (about 40F) but today is is light but steady rain on ground that is already soaked. At least it is still above freezing and a light southerly wind.
I expect the cold and frost will return again soon.
Keep warm!

Glad to hear you missed the sleet and snow. It's a mess here in St. Louis. We had plenty of sleet last night and again today. It's now snowing and our streets and highways are a disaster. One of our kids slid into a ditch but didn't get hurt nor did her car. Said she couldn't stop and off she went. Think after tonight, we are safe for a day or so and then next weekend it's suppose to be almost 40 degrees. Crazy Missouri weather.
Stay warm,
carolbee

Rhonda, it must be freezing cold for you where you are in Nashville. I am having very fine weather here. It is warm and yet very breezy. Normally, for us around this time of the year, there is more rain and wind. The past few weeks, it has been very windy so the weather's not too hot. It is also supposed to be wetter season, but this time round there's not much rain. Still it is cool and comfortable for us. Yesterday I was out looking at floral displays at an annual flower show because of the Chinese New Year festivities, and the weather was absolutely beautiful. I am attaching here a photograph I took yesterday for you to appreciate. ~ Victor

Yes we had ice last night in central Arkansas and schools were closed for today. I think travel conditions are okay right now because it has be above freezing all afternoon. The forcast is for more ice and maybe a little snow tonight. I guess we'll see when we wake up in the morning

Glad for you. We however didn't dodge it. It hit us! My daughter is home from school and hubby from work now for the second day. I recently read there are about 800,000 people without power from this storm. Hopefully you will only get a light dusting. I wish you luck.

hi TnWoman...here in missouri we had some ice and a touch of snow. roads were slick for awhile and tragically 2 people were killed in wrecks but for the most part the trucks have been working hard and traffic was careful so it wasn't too bad. could have been worse. at least it's far better that last winter which was the worst for ice coming and coming. nightmares. thank God it's been better.
