I love that stuff, but it's so expensive. These days, we all know that every penny counts. My sister inspired me to look online for things that you can make yourself, cleaning products and stuff like that. One that I came across is "Febreeze". Take a regular spray bottle and pour several tablespoons of liquid fabric softener. These things you can get at the dollar store. Then, fill the rest with water. You might want to adjust the strength of the fabric softener because it would vary. What you need to keep in mind is some people have remarked that it's left their materials sticky. Because of this, don't spray it heavily, but it does help in a pinch to make things and the room nice. *Pleiades

I would never have thought to do something like that I am going to tell my mom about this since she gets very uptight if there is a funny smell in her house LOL

That is too funny. LOL My mom thinks she smells cat spray eventhough we have male kittens they arent even old enough to spray and I do not smell it anywhere in this place LOL

Mothers have the weirdest noses. My mother was convinced one time that I had chemicals in my room when I was hiding candy. *Pleiades

That is a very cool idea. Frebreeze is one of the best products around I think. It is nice to know we can make a similar product ourselves.

Wow, I haven't seen you around in years, Ambie. How are you doing? And yes, it's nice to know we can make these things yourselves...kinda like making candy bars, eh? *Pleiades

I'm doing okay. I'm sorry to say though that I don't recognize your username. Did you close your first account? Maybe that is why I don't recognize your username?

And, good thing about making it yourself, you can monitor how much goes in it. *Pleiades

What a brilliant idea! I'll do anything to make my pennies stretch farther and this is one tip I'm definitely going to have to try.

What a great idea! Thanks so much. I love Febreeze and never buy it because I consider it a luxury item. I'm going to make some this afternoon and see how it works. We all need to be rethinking how to save money without giving up all of the little nice things in life.
