Where do you go for advice?

I have never been to a psychologist to ask for advices. I never wanted to go to fortune-teller or do any other witch crafting to find out the best solution for my problems, questions and misunderstandings. I am a person who can work with myself to find answers. Sometimes when I am zero smart about my questions I google my questions. Sometimes I find a good solution after reading a book. It depends from my questions, really. What about you? Do you go and get help from other people? Or manage to help yourself?

I go to my friends and colleagues. I have many online friends who I rely on and I also have a new therapist who seems very smart. Sometimes although not often I also talk to my mom but she and I are so different its hard for me to take her advice.

I'm the oldest of four and the one that everyone else has always turned to for advice and answers. That's probably why I'm uncomfortable asking others for advice so I rarely do. A handful of times I have turned to my best friend for advice or to ask for her opinions on a personal matter because I felt that I was too close to the situation to be objective but, other than that, I find the answers and solutions myself.

I usually get the best advice from the people that I love the most. I have never thought I need medical help - but most people that will tell you the same thing - I just hope I am not one of them!
