"Zombies Ahead"!

No, this is not a Haitian warning sign, it is the message that appeared on an electronic road sign in Austin, Texas after hackers got into it on January 19. The road sign that usually warns of closings or delays was altered to read "Zombies Ahead". It is illegal to do what these pranksters did, but it's freaking hilarious to me.
I think this message should be posted on all signs leading into Washington, DC. What say you?

Let's drop 'em all in the middle of Afghanistan, just to see what would happen.

I can't believe you are taking this so lightly. Now, when there is a real zombie attack nobody is gonna believe the signs. HEHE

The zombies are in DC and they DO eat brains! The unthinking masses swilling the koolaid in the cult of liberalism are sustenance that the DC zombies thrive on. The zombies are coming, and they are coming to take your freedom, your wallet, and the minds of your children (through indoctrination at school)! Gird your loins!

I saw that on the news over here, could do with this sign at all enterences to London, and Houses of Parliament. People just like having fun with signs like this.
Maybe there should be a competition for the most amusing but apt Road Signs.

It may be illegal but just think how many people who have road rage everyday
or people who just drive crazy and have frequent accidents that laughed instead of driving crazy or had road rage.
That sign may have stopped a psycho nut from shooting everybody on the freeway that day.
It is very funny and they should be easy on the hackers they were just trying to give people a laugh.
We were not even there nad we think it is funny!

You make some excellent points and I totally agree with you. If the hackers who pulled this prank get caught, I hope that the government will exercise leniency since it was just a harmless prank with no apparent malice intended, and it was funny!

i guess if i were traveling that bit of roadway it would have been a bit freaky at first but knowing that there is no such thing as zombies would have brought me back to reality right quick. it is kind of funny though. there are worse things hackers can do i guess.

I screwed up typing the link (I can't paste yet) everything is OK except I put a "c" where there should have been an "x".
I won't hide, I'll just redirect them to Washington DC where there are more of their kind. LOL
