Surely India has strong economy. But India has to do a lot to lead the world economy. Many of the Indian products are not upto the mark.To survive in the world competition the quality of the Indian products must be improved. Moreover vast majority of the India's population are under the below of poverty level. To launch a rocket to the moon does not reflect the whole economic picture of a nation.India must do some thing to improve the over all economic condtition of the major portion of the people. If these coditions are fulfilled once India will lead the world economy.

yes dear bhanusb nothing happens on its own . each indian has to contribute his might if at all we wish to reach that kind of goal. what i said and i wish to reiterate that we are heading towards that and still enough is yet to be achieved . along the path we will face difficulties also but the top position does not come easily and requires continuous up gradation in quality of products and services and sincerity of actions!!

I read in yesterdays Indian Express that next year India`s growth factor in the economy would be 5.1% where as the growth factor of the entire world economy would be zero. This was not by some Indian analyst but someone from the world economic forum. That itself shows that India is poised to be a world leader in the economic zone. If only we could wipe out corruption totally and our self serving leaders could change their selfish ways we could have become the most powerful nation in the world long ago.

hi dear veejay19.well that is great news and in the right direction. india is moving ahead but we can not forget that we need to contribute our might and each contribution will take us closer to the desired result!! well corruption and the political-criminal nexus is to be broken and sincere efforts are required at all levels!! each indian has to work for this positively!!

I do feel that India is a strong economy but doesnt mean that it wont be affected by the present fiasco in the world economic downfall. It is being affected by various ways. The companys have removed so many employees and the they are not recruiting new employees the old staff have to do all the jobs by sitting late at night and the increment to the employees not been given. The middle class people are affected largely as they cannot meet the ends of day to day life. The higher class people are not affected in any way as they have made they are financially good. Happy postin g and have a nice day.

hi dear nini89,i strongly disagree with you. it is the upper class which has lost heavily in the current downfall in prices of property and shares!! the market capitalisation of top indian companies was down by over 44000 crores in the previous one week only!! the ambani brothers are the hardest hit!! these are small sacrifices and one has to! no battle is won without any sacrifices and there is fierce competition at the top!! we must be ready for contributing our might for the same if wish to make it to the top!!

Given time and practical economy policy with pragmatic leaders, India no doubt is going to be a rising economy powerhouse after China. If India can successfully uplift its population literacy rate and income, it will become a very important trading partner in G7 soon.

hi dear true. we have been the leaders at one time. giving and spreading education in the world, and i expect india to show the path again . it may not happen in the immediate future but undoubtedly we are heading towards the same and i am very confident that we are going to be in that position in years to come and emerge as the leaders!! all indians must contribute for this effort and achieve the coveted goal!!

It is true that India has been playing a lead role in the world economic revival and if we can get rid of corruption that is eating into the vitals of the country, I am sure the rest of the world would one day witness what India can do.
