I heard that it is good but not sure how good. The only thing I'm sure is that you don't have to boil the water. Anyone using purifiers and can I know how good is it??

To what I know, water becomes cleaner if it filters through the water purifiers, but to a certain extend only. It will not be 100% clean and bacteria free. The water purifier should be kept clean, changing the filters often. In my opinion, drinking water should be boiled again even though you use a water purifier.

Hi lynnchua, we were told that the water supply in our place was not so hygienic and pure enough many years back. Really, we found later on sometimes excessive chlorine was found in it. As far as we know taking too much chlorine can cause harm to our body, especially the boiled chlorinated water. Since then we bought a water filter with proper purifying system which could provide us good purified water for drinking without boiling. It is quite convenient and we don’t have to the trouble and extra time as well to boil our drinking water anymore. My husband’s sister lives in the same country as you. That’s why I know the water supply there is pure enough and the people there don’t have to use any water purifiers. Happy posting.

To check how good is your purifier is to submit to a laboratory your fresh water and the water after being purified. If the result is good, then your purifier is good and of course, it has wear and tear, so, you have to clean and check the purifier always.

We have the 2nd Generation Amway Water Treatment system. It's really good. The treated water is soft which my wife & I like very much & there's no need to boil it. They have now improved it to e-Spring System where it's small & light enough to even take it for traveling

We never had a home water purifiers. Once in every week, a delivery van deliver purified water into our house. But my sister is planning to buy one.

We have got a small purifier in our hostel. But the water comming out of it has a bad taste and so I have stopped using it. The problem is that the water going into it is very bad. The hostel is situated near to an industrial area. The advice that I have to give is that even if you are having a water purifier, you won't get good water if the water going into the purifier is polluted beyond a limit. Also the purifier should be kept clean and dust and insects should not be allowed in.
