Have you ever accidentally "memorized" something?

It can be important stuff like scientific formulas or simple ones like song lyrics or recently told jokes or movie lines... Have you ever accidentally memorized them? In several occasions, I have memorized the lyrics of a song I just heard. It just came naturally to me, like it was an involuntary response of my brain.
I'm not freaked out because I think many of us have this weird talent.
Or maybe I'm just alone in this?
I wanna know more about YOUR take on this.

I don't know if I've "accidently" memorized anything... I do know that something I deliberately memorized that I thought would be temporary has turned out to be permanent.
I took a psychology class in college. The instructor gave us this really long quote first day of the class. He told us that if at the end of the semester we had that quote memorized for our test, it would bump us up a whole grade and you couldn't get an A without knowing it. I of course memorized it (& got my A) It's been over thirty years now since I learned it. I can go years at a time without thinking about it and then a discussion like this pops up and I realize I still have it memorized word for word.

It's kind of funny. I can hardly remember anything anymore. I have to be careful to turn off flames and other things, cause if I don't see it, I forget it's on. I'm getting really horrible about that.
But I can still remember the 23rd Psalm from the Bible. I don't read the Bible, nor am I religious, but there was something so flowing about those words when they read them in church once. I memorized it. Now, over 20 years later, without having read the Bible since or that Psalm, I can still recite it. I can't remember to turn off the stupid burner on the stove, but I can recite a poem from 20 years ago. Definitely weird.
