Tobey Maguire has signed up for the fourth installment of the Spiderman Movies!
Sam Raimi will be directing the movie again.
There are also plans for a fifth movie too!
I wonder what villains are going to be featured in the two new movies.
So far, based on the article, it is all hush hush.
But looking at what was introduced in the previous few movies, Lizard seems to be a likely character to be featured. Night Cat may also be another one that may be shown.
I wonder who else is going to be shown.
Are you also excited to see the next installment in the Spiderman movies?

I guess these comics writer has something for the feline.
And feline being the way they are depicted, always as a female (a sexy one too
), adds some complication to the relationships of the Heroes in the story.
Otherwise, there will be no story to spin already. Then there is no fun to read the comics or watch the movie anymore. Agree?

Undeniably, I love the action pack & all the super heroes movies. I loved all 3 Spiderman movies as well as I grew up with interests in Marvel & DC comics, even up till now I like them. No offense, but if one should take a step back & really analyze, Spidey is kind of a lame hero or should I say pathetic as he's always late for work because he's fighting crime & yet so under appreciated that he's living like a pauper? Seems like something is wrong somewhere? Such a pitiful superhero? Don't get me wrong, I still love to watch the movies, haha

I guess that is the reality element that they want to put in the Spiderman series.
That Spiderman is after all, a man. AND that each man has the same 24 hours. And Peter Parker can only do so much in one role. So when one role (Spiderman) takes priority, the other role (Parker) will have to be compromised.
It is quite good I feel. Gives us a reason to feel for Parker as well!

Great power comes with great responsibility. So I guess the power of Spiderman will be tested once again with new villians to boot. I love the Spiderman movie series because it has an accent of warm humanity amidst the adrenaline-charged action. The relationship between Parker and his Aunt, Mary Jane and Harry make us recognize that Spiderman being a superhero, is also a human just like any of us, and having super powers may not necessary solve the problems sometimes. Besides, the villians each has a story to tell on its own. I look forward to see in the new sequel a deeper character development and a more immense storyline. We should be expecting to see villians with more advanced arsenal at their disposal, and likewise Spiderman to be better equipped with more sophiscated weaponry.

Yeah~~! I too am looking forward to more character development in the next two up coming movies.
I am also looking forward to see the new villians that they are going to introduce.
If only they will give some teasers already!
The anticipation is driving me nuts!

Hi ahgong,
I haven't come across new on Spiderman 4 yet. I guess you are ahead of me on this.
If my memory serves me right, I have watched all the previous movies of the series. The last one (3) was not as good though since they tried to stuff too much and it ended up messy.
I hope they make it better for the subsequent versions. More focus and creativity would do the trick. Whichever way, I guess I will still watch it just for completeness sake.

Well if you watch it solely for the flash, the movie does not rate that high in my opinion. I might still watch it to enjoy the flash but the movie will then lack "depth".

Yeah, I too find that the second movie better than the third one. But you cannot deny the graphics used in Spiderman 3 was really good!
If only they had made the movie a little longer so that the characters have more time to develop.
I sure hope they do better in the next two movies!

I have seen all 3 Movies of Spiderman . I liked the third Movie the most .
It would be exciting to watch how the next Movie goes. However;I feel it should not have movies after that as it might become boring .

Whether the later movies after the next two (if there is any) is gonna be good or not will largely depend on how well they can tell the story in the up coming two.
Cos Spiderman has spanned over a few decades. And his comics are still as refreshing as the day it first came out.
I sure hope the script writer does not disappoint the millions of fans around the world!

I think this is interesting that they are considering going on with this movie, but also very Glad to see that Toby Maguire is continuing to wanting to play the part as I cannot imagine seeing anyone else in that role as well. This will be quite interesting for sure to see what they can continue to come up with, and to see if these movies will continue to draw in tons of the Spiderman crowds as well.

Thanks for sharing the news. I like the super hero movies and I especially like when they keep the same actors playing the parts. I got tired of the Batman movies when the first three all had a different actor playing the role. I would like to see a Venom movie myself but I will admit I was a big fan of the guy who played Venom. I look forward to reading more about the new releases.

No, I am not super excited of the 5th installment of the Spider man series. Though I watched the fourth series and wrote a positive review, I am not looking forward anymore of the next series. It's not that I hate Spider man but I don't like their casting. In my own opinion, James Franco (Harry Osborn) is more suited to play Peter Parker, he has this boyish appeal that can catch attention than that of the childish grin of Toby Maguire, then Kirsten Dunst is not that alluring to play MJ Watson, maybe the role could be given to Gwen Stacy or Scarlet Johanson.

I'm not familier with the characters you mentioned, but I do like the spider man movies. I always used to watch the ol school cartoon show. I didn't get into the comics, though. I do remember a crocidile or something, and I like to see Carnage come to the screen.

Carnage came into the Spiderman series very much later in the story.
But it would be cool to see Carnage as well.
In fact, in Spiderman 3, I couldn't get enough of Venom!
If only they had used some one more buff to play the role though. Cos in the comics, Venom is a muscle bound freak!

Wow theres another movie coming out. I thought the third one was the end. I liked them all. Most movies Ive seen seem to go bad on the third movie. I cant wait till this movie comes out. I wonder how lizard is going to look on this spider man movie. Maybe a Hulkish texture. All the movies seem to have to do with finding out who is. Hes spider man then changes to something else then comes back. Cant wait!!

Oh yeah, three movies is not going to do justice to the Spiderman series!
There is just so many more characters in the comics that has just not been explored!
I am sure there will be as many Spiderman movies as there are in the Bond Series!
I will definitely look forward to more!
First up, Spiderman 4 first. Then Spiderman 5!
