Okay, for those of you that know a little about me. My wife and I sold our home and moved into a townhome community. When we moved in November, the dishwasher leaked and so they had to order a new one. Took them a while, but around the first of the new year.
But this "new" dishwasher that arrived was very loud and didn't sound right, it sounded more like a garbage disposal and a dishwasher. So we had to wait some more. If you know me, I love to eat, but I despise washing dishes by hand, by to help out my wife I would pitch in, since she made the meals. Probably because I had to wash them by hand as a child (we didn't have dish washing machine, except "ME" as a child).
When a the same day that we finished closing on the sell of our home, which is the day after our 9th Anniversary that we celebrated. The townhome community brought another dishwasher, one that works silently like it is supposed too, and does a great job, so I that's why I say Bye Bye dishes!
My wife had the opportunity to say Bye Bye to our home, so what have you had to say bye bye to recently? Whether by willful choice or like or dislike, inquiring minds want to know.

i don;t have dishwasher here and everytime i wash with my hands only.
i don;t have chance to say bye bye to any dish because i need them in next day.so i will clean them after eating and keep them clean all.
and i don;t have chance to say bye bye to any house ,because we are living in our own appartment and can;t afford for dishwasher as it costs more here
and should be put by our own when we stay in rented houses also.

Good for you, I hope you use dish washing detergent like Dawn or Palmolive to keep your hands soft as well! Thanks for your input.

Never heard of it, but thanks for sharing. Does it soften your hands while you clean the dishes?

wow... that's good for you for having your new dishwasher. :)
I haven't owned a dishwasher since then though at times it comes across my mind if I need to buy one or it would just be a luxury for me. What I want to say goodbye right now is my washing machine, and I hope I would be able to say goodbye to it this month... :)

Well, I'm going to say bye-bye to my current apartment pretty soon. Because I had to say so long to a sink that worked and everything that got wet when it overflowed, I'm looking foward very much to saying bye bye to this apartment. But the best part of saying bye bye to my apartment is that I will no longer see everyting my neighbors put down the drain coming up to greet me in my own sink.

LoL ~ I'm not laughing at your present situation, only at the fact that we were almost heading in that same direction. There were quite a few BLUNDERS after we had sign the lease, that we discovered. But it is refreshing to see the management company hold true to their word, even if it isn't in our timing.

I'm glad to hear you finally got your dishwasher. I envy you just a little bit, lol. I have been wanting one for the longest time. My father actually gave me a used one and it's been in my garage for almost 2 years now. He always tells me he will install it for me when he has the time but he will forget or I will and time passes by until I remind him again.
The last thing I had to say bye bye to was our second car, beginning of fall last year. It just totally broke down on us, I think it was an electrical problem. It was just too expensive to fix it, had too many problems it wasn't worth fixing. So we just sold it. I'm a sahm so it was very difficult for me to get used to not taking my children to school everyday and picking them up and having someone else take them. Also not being able to run errands or just getting out of the house during the day. Well we finally were able to purchase another car this last weekend with income tax money. So I'm very thankful I have my car to drive around now and I can see my kids to school everyday, I really missed that.

You're very blessed, we said bye bye to both of our vehicles the last one we said good bye to was in November. We've been using public transit. It works out okay, and since the kids are homeschooled, no need to be that concerned about that now, at least if the economy doesn't improve soon, then maybe. But I trust God, so no worries from us. We sold our home! So we said bye bye to that on Jan. 30th.
