looks like we finally figured out the problem of illegal immigration. The U.S. is now too poor for people from the other side of the border. of course it took putting our own economy in the toilet, but i guess it's something. NOT A REFERRAL LINK!!!

Illegal immigration is a huge problem. I do believe that our sinking economy with deter illegals from coming here. I hope so anyways they are such a burden to our country.

I agree. Deporting them all would help our economy immensely, and for people who disagree - WE HAVE NEVER DONE IT. So don't tell me it wouldn't help! Everybody who has any say in the government is all bleeding heart and can't seem to go thru with it. Some of them even want to offer them amnesty or make it EASIER to come here! Foolishness!!

"A year passed: winter changed into spring, spring changed into summer, summer changed back into winter, and winter gave spring and summer a miss and went straight on into autumn... until one day..." ..... They returned from whence they came for the grass was NOT greener on the other side! Funny how the whole mentality changes when the belief in the dream of a free ride becomes shaky. Maybe it's time for some reverse border hopping?

You know, those people never should have expected any free ride here in the first place. That was the first lie. We can't even take care of ourselves as it is, there are homeless, jobless, uneducated, abused, neglected, sick, AMERICANS and we need to remedy THAT before we go help everybody who jumps the border! I don't care which border either. If they are not here legally, they need to LEAVE. I'm sorry that situations are bad in their countries too, but why don't they suck it up and try to find a way to make it better in their country instead of coming here and whining at US?

YAY! Ok well I am NOT happy that our economy is in the toilet but I do think it's a good thing if that means people will stop immigrating here. I still think we need to use some of that non-existant money they are printing to use for the stimulus package to deport illegals - all of them. If they are all gone, they will not be taking OUR social program money that is supposed to go to low income CITIZENS of this country. We need to take care of us first, and that is NOT selfish, it is important to the infrastructure of our country. If we cannot take care of our own, how can we POSSIBLY be expected, required, or WANT to help others? Look at our economy in the toilet now... people cannot afford to donate to food banks and shelters because we cannot afford to take care of ourselves. I think we partially caused this by acting like America is so great and so strong and we can take care of the world. We can't. We should have focused more on ourselves in the first place and maybe we would not be having an economic meltdown.
