Have you seen the show Wipeout on ABC? Do you like it?
It hasn't been on since last year, but they had a new episode today and a few reruns after.
People go through these insane obstacle. It is almost like a real life video game.
Most of the people look completely exhausted after doing it. Some don't even make it through the final obstacles, because they just get too tired.
Would you go on the show if you could? Do you think you could make it through?

I've seen it quite a few times. What I like as mush as the action is the host's comments. Jill Wagner's expressions are priceless and I wish they would show more of her during the show. I wish they would make it a little fairer for women. There are usually several obstacles where the usually greater strengh and larger size of aeveral of the men gives them an advantage over most of the women and some of the other men. One greatly under appreciated woman was the one who was the first competitor, man or woman, to successfully cross the Big Balls. The had a sort of best of show and didn't even mention her.

I think the hosts comments are what make the show. It wouldn't be as much fun without the silly comments and reactions of the host. I saw that one with the lady that went straight across the balls. No one, man or women, came even close to doing that until she did and it was barely acknowledged. She walked across them naturally like she was just walking on a sidewalk.
I agee that it is not exactly even. The one they just had, had cheerleaders against couch potatoes, basically girls against lazy guys. A girl ended up winning.

I have seen "Wipeout" a few times. No you couldn't get me to try any of it. I see those people binging bounced around from ball to ball and binging hit in the face with boxing gloves. I'm just that much into having my body thrown around into those contortions. It just looks too painful and I'm not into pain of any kind for even $500,000.

I am not a big fan of pain either. I can ony imagine the pain and bruises they wake up with the next morning.
Thanks for your reply :o)!

Tonight was the first time I caught it...I mean I had seen a few commercials, but, tonight I watch an episode. All i can say is, why in the heck would you put yourself through that. One of those hits they took, of bouncing off one of those obstacles, and I mean just one, and I would be like, I am done. On the episode I saw there was a 50-something grandma. No way, would you get me even trying that. they'd have to pay me 50grand (the grand prize) just to participate. Ouch!

I agree. I don't know if I could take that kind of beating. I know the surfaces are padded, but still, its got to hurt. I just keep thinking that someone is bound to get seriously hurt sometime.
Funny how they have shows that all you have to do is stand around and pick cases, to win millions of dollars. But, if you do stuff to get you sick and beat up all you can win is $50,000.
Thanks for replying :o)!
