This or that- clothing question

Would you rather buy something brand new that was very expensive or the same thing, only slightly used and way cheaper?
In general I LOVE to buy second hand because the prices drop very low. You can tons more used stuff than you can new with the same money. Though I won't object to checking out huge sales on new clothing. I was able to pick up over $100 worth of clothing from old navy and because of their sales I got it for only $25! Then i won't object to new.
What's your opinion?

I love a bargain in all things but clothing is my number one. I rarely buy brand new anymore, except on nightwear or underwear of course (secondhand underwear - yuck!) and as for the comments about this being a good discussion post, I agree and didn't assume you were doing it for the cash :)

the cash is def. an added benefit, especially seeing as this is a site paying you for your discussions!

I like new clothes but they are so expensive. I do try to get ones that are new on ebay and that helps costs.

I love bargains. I usually buy clothes from catalogs. I like nothing better then to wait until a new season begins and then go back and buy the previous season clothes for little of nothing. I feel like maybe I'm getting my money's worth that way.

if i can get slightly used for way way less i would go with that...just more money saved to buy something new later on lol

I don't really get into the latest trends anyway.... and when I like something at a regular store it always turns out to be waaaaay too much money... so I do buy some second hand and some at the regular store. I have no problem with used clothes.

Sometimes you can find awesome stuff in styles and quality that they don't make anymore
