It seems that if you fail to pay taxes and have a legal argument, like Wesley Snipes, and you lose your case you get jail time. If you fail to pay your taxes and bet nominated for a Cabinet Position you get a second chance. One of the arguments in the Westley Snipes case was that the IRS could not point to the section of the Tax Code where it says you have to pay taxes. They also challenged the part of the code that says you have to pay taxes on income from a foreign country but does not say you have to pay taxes on money made in the "state". These arguments have been challenged and lost in Federal Courts for years but it is interesting that the IRS lawyers haves problems the specific references in the tax code. If they can not figure out the code and people like Rep Rangel, and Senator Daschle, who help write the Tax Code can not figure it out how can the average person be expected to understand it when you get different advice from different IRS field offices and their advice is not legal in court. But then it seems like a Black man has no HOPE that things will CHANGE with the new President and only the rich WHITE MAN gets the breaks.

Actually, we now have 2 tax cheats on the 0bamunist's team, and both of them claim it to be an honest mistake.... and one of them is in charge of the IRS. In fact, there are several Congressmen who have been found to be playing fast and lose with their taxes, and the vast majority of them are democrats... or to be more precise... lying liberals. Charles Rangel comes to mind as do a few more. I find it very interesting that the very people who want to raise taxes on everyone else, and rail against the "evil rich" are loath to pay their own taxes and are what most folks would consider rich themselves. These people claim to be for the working class, but are actually for controlling the populace and therefore support the organizations that help to meet that end, such as the unions, the environmental freaks and more. Most of these organizations actually cause job loss and higher prices... which they then try to claim is a failure of the free market economy and try to hold it up as an example of why it doesn't work. The truth is that a true free market has no government involvement, and it left alone, will far out perform and out produce anything that that these socialists can come up with. The private sector will outperform the public sector every time. As for these tax cheats that are choking up our corrupt government, I say lock them all up... as well as Barney Frank and the rest who bear the responsibility for our current crises.

"As for these tax cheats that are choking up our corrupt government, I say lock them all up. I say lock them all up" Oh, if only we could! But we may not have much of a government left. Not that that's such a bad thing...

Peave Having a smaller Government might not be too bad. With all the programs the government is doing they would be so busy they would not have time to think of new things to put their fingers into.
