The Dew Dropped In

Dew Drop In - This ice crystal is very small. Just a little larger than an average drop of dew (moisture)actually. I love this shot.

I love taking photos of various ice crystals that form on my windows during the cold winters here in Minnesota. This shot is pretty cool I think. As I opened the door I spotted quite a few shots I'd love to take. After a bit of the heat from the house warming the window this very tiny bead of moisture formed onto a crystal I was shooting. The bead was about as big as a pins head only. I edited it to add more blue to it as well. This crystal is a little larger than a drop of water so it is fuzzy due to a regular lens on my camera as opposed to a zoom lens. But I love the way the "dew drop in" aspect of it none the less. Yesterday it was raining at my house but I had to go over one of the mountains around here and when I got to the top it had been snowing and everything had a nice cover of powder. Unfortunately I was short on time so I didn't stop and get any pictures. I'm really going to have to do that next time. I have lived in the south for so long that I am totally enjoying the difference in the weather up here.

That picture looks like some sort of funky little spiky fish to me. Maybe Nemo can find it and bring it home to visit other little fishies. hahahaha

The blue looks great on this Bob. It is a lovely photograph. So they have to have a little heat to make them form like this or do you really Zoom in on them? We have had snow here, but I dont see things that you get on camera. Maybe its not cold enough here.
