Stress relief begins with a nice hot bath

I love to de-stress with a nice hot bath. Maybe some candle light and a good book or a glass of wine. I will normally draw my bath very hot and throw in some Epsom salt for the bones. I will then add a little bubble bath in for the bubble bath effect. I normally will light a candle and turn on my tv. I have a tv in the bathroom and just relax for about a half hour. I don't really drink anymore but if I still did I would have a glass of red wine. Do you find bathes to be relaxing.

I agree! I love getting into a hot bath, throwing in a little bit of bubbles, and turning on the jets. Then, I'll light the candles and play some music. :-)

I like this idea a lot. About once a week I try to take a hot bath & read in it. The only problem is that if you really like the book you're reading - sometimes you can forget about the fact that you're taking a bath and stay in for way too long! (and then get prune-y fingers as a result!) :(
I think it's relaxing so long as no one is home, that you're not totally stressed out, and so long as you don't have any distractions around you. (I've tried to take a bath while my dad had friends in the room over, screaming and yelling over a football game - in which case you only get MORE stressed out!)

Once in awhile I will stay in there to long and get the pruney fingers. I ussually get out once the water starts to get cold.

Yes, it's the ultimate relaxation for me, to have a nice, long, lazy bubble bath at the tub, with the TV turned on to my favorite music channel or American sitcom. I just have to have my favorite bath gel and salt scrub to make this activity a therapeutic one. :-)
