Why did every one pick on Bush?

I started a discussion on Obama and a common thread in it was how poor Bush was bashed but didn't really deserve it. Well, I'd like to hear what he did right, as well as what he did wrong.
Is there things from his time that Obama should keep and use? Will he use it?

I believe that Bush's actions to become involved in Afghanistan and Iraq were good decisions - I believe those actions have keep those war on foreign soil and prevented more attacked on our homeland.
Obama will need to learn to take a firm stand when terrorists again threaten our homeland (and they will) - it isn't the time to be the "nice guy that everyone loves" - is the time to state the consequences and to follow-up on those consequences if necessary.

I for one supported the war in Afghanistan, which is where it should have stopped. I believe the war on Iraq was fabricated and it did not make sense for our best interest at home. You can sit there and tell me that there was terrorist there and yes there was but they were also all over the middle east. If we were going in for terrorist why lie about weapons of mass destruction which was never found? Perhaps if all those troops where in Afghanistan we would have had a better chance of finding Osama. He will stand firm, do not take his talking to the enemy as a weakness if anything it is a strength. If he can clear this through talks that means that thousands of innocent civilians could be saved.

I think we could have avoided the second round in Iraq if they had been allowed to finish the job the first time we went in there. But hindsight and all that. I also wish we had finished with Ben Forgotten before even thinking of going into Iraq.
I think that Home shores is what we need to worry about now. Before we start needing outside help to feed our young.

I think the reason everyone picked on Bush was just plain old bandwagon thinking. Bush was a very good president and he kept the country safe after 9/11.

Most people where not picking on Bush they were trying to make him accountable for his actions is all. No president is going to have 100 percent backing on anything that he decides that is for sure. What happens is when stories are told and writings are written it is very easy for others to read it differently than the writer expect for it to be taken.
U also wrote in another discussion some time ago, I dont know if Bush kept us safe or perhaps it was just a warning on 9/11 that we were not untouchable. Where there other attacks planned I dont think we will ever know. So because I am not sure I would say that Bush did what he thought was a good move and made our homeland security stronger, and I do applaud him for that.

There was two things he did (changed)in his time that I can stand behind. That I personally know of and am glad for. One was to change the funding in researching the lessor funded childhood ailments like cancer, and ASD.
I'm not sure I can agree that it was just bandwagon or that he was a "very good" president. He doesn't even say that.
I think some people have very good reasons for not liking him. Just as some have very good reasons for standing behind him.

Well I think the best thing he did was finally leave. As to the things he did wrong, you don't have enough time, and I won't even try to list them.
