I wonder as per my title here, if civility is really back in our midst. From the bottom of my heart, I really hope so and would have more of it. This account actually relate how 2 teachers in Hainan, China would help students cross a 20m wide river which does not have a bridge, on their backs to let the children attend classes. However, I just marvelled at how the governor there did not get to construct that much needed bridge for the PAST 10 YEARS!! I just detest these people in authority who could be so oblivious and negligent in their job. Kudos to these 2 dedicated teachers Mr Wang Wenzhou, 54, and Mr Wang Shenchao, 45, who have been tirelessly with their shoes on the bank, carried the children on their backs for these past 10 years. But, damnation to the governor there (no offense) as this one does not deserve to be in the office for another term. What do you think here? Anyone of you here in China would like to bring this irresponsible governor to task and commend these 2 good teachers? Ref: http://www.tnp.sg/news/story/0,4136,191814,00.html?
